Really lovely way to help my son understand this subject. I’d recommend all these by this author, we have them all & he never tired of hearing them. Very well written. Thankyou 5*

Behaviour Matters Series
Delightful and well thought out story by a highly qualified author that illustrates why its important to understand or control certain behaviours that some young children struggle with at times. Also easy to follow with some extra discussion - my daughter really responded to these books and her teacher even borrowed the set for class story time too.

Another great book in a brilliant series
This is a great book for young school-age children (4+), as it helps them to think about feeling worried and how to overcome those feeling so they don't hold you back. I think that this will help them to cope a little better when they are in a similar situation at home or school. The writing is really good - easy to read and with certain words in bold, helping the reader with emphasis. The illustrations are fantastic, with the animals' facial expressions and body language fitting perfectly with the text.My daughter, aged 4, really enjoys this series of books.

I read this book to my son and sometimes he reads it to me. At the back of the book there is teacher and parent two pages that outlines how to use the book to help your child.

Good start
A fun story full of mischief and mishaps to help children explore their feelings .For me the book had its pros and cons . Firstly its wrote in a fun way and the artwork is colourful and appealing . It also comes in a solid hardback form which personally I prefer .The cons are I feel the writing is off putting - there are quite a lot of words to the one page , and they are crammed together . It's good some words are highlighted in bold but for younger children who are starting to read - like my 6 year old niece - it's a bit wordy for her on her own . As since she is learning at school she loves practising when she can . She felt a bit frustrated at it and thought the story was ok but moved on to other books .I feel that either the words should have been space out more or preferably less of them . For the age range that it seems to appeal to ( 4-7 I would say as ) - children prefer less words and more pictures .Also it is a bit costly .Overall I'm giving it 4 stars because it's rare to get books about specific emotions and it's a good effort - not the first book I would go to but handy enough . The cartoons are colourful enough and the story has a nice fun element .I'm taking it into work to try with some of the children I work with adm will report back once they have formed their opinions too.

For children who worry - a great, reassuring title with a likeable lion protagonist
Poor Lion - he worries about everything. The class trip to Jungle Land should be exciting, but Lion's worried about the weather, the bus, the rides - how could he possibly look forward to it and enjoy the day?!My son loved the story - any tale about rollercoasters and scared lions was going to catch his interest. And he's not a worried, but he did seem fascinated by the 'child' who worries about things. It works well, Lion needs to share his fears and talk about them, and come up with solutions in order to feel confident and enjoy himself. This whole series gives a range of behaviours a very child-friendly focus, the animal characters colourful and easy to identify with, the story simple enough for preschoolers to understand and interesting enough for KS1-aged children and classes. Teachers would find the series useful in classrooms. At the end is a double-page spread for parents, with guidance notes for questions to ask, activities - these are well thought through and useful. One for ages 3-7.
