Wanted a big roasting tin that I could use on the hob as well, to make gravy. This roasting tin is brilliant. Nice and deep, a good size for everything and best of all, no deterioration of the enamel which has been a constant problem, even well known makes. You can leave it to soak for a short time and it's so easy to clean. Remarkable actually, the difference I've found between this and others I have tried. Others which have looked to be really good quality and yet start flaking. I would thoroughly recommend this as a long lasting investment with confidence

Becoming more conscious about exactly what materials I am cooking in. I am investing in some enamel bake wear. I always wash them by hand. I am impressed how sturdy they are and just how easy to clean.

I measured my old enamel roasting pan before purchasing this, to make sure it would be the same size or bigger. My old pan measures 34 x 30 cm at the top and about the same at the bottom, which gives a surface cooking area of 1020 sq cm. The external dimensions of this pan are approx 40 x 28 cm at the top - but it is only 36 x 24 cm at the bottom! This gives a surface cooking area of only 864 sq cm, which is considerably smaller than my old pan and I am very disappointed about that. But it does look and feel like excellent quality, which is backed up by a 25 year guarantee. And it's re-assuring heavy at 1577g with the cardboard sleeve still in place. So I have decided to keep it :-) Update: Used this pan for the first time today. Cooked roast and roast potatoes and parsnips in it, which all roasted beautifully. BUT the pan didn't come up as clean as new when it was washed with a non-scratch scourer in hot soapy water. In fact, even after I'd gone over it again with a stainless steel scourer, there were STILL food marks on it! So it might sound cheap for a decent quality vitreous enamel roasting pan but as it will not get used very often in my house, it has turned out to be a rather expensive mistake.

Looked ok, but returned due to damage in transit, didn’t ask for replacement.

At last I have found a roasting tin that my wife seems unable to ruin on the first use. It's a tough piece of equipment and works without damage on our induction hob. Excellent.

A very handy, versatile pan, with a true enamel finish. Well made and should be a favorite for years. Not cheap nonstick at all. Heavy enough not to warp and "pop" as it heats up. I might get this in another size.
