This was a great replacement piece for my Dyson canister! Fit perfect, instructions were easy to follow. Build quality is pretty good, and on top of fitting great it comes with the special screwdriver. The suction is back to being powerful and consistent, which makes vacuuming much more efficient. The price point was reasonable! So far it’s been working well!

Buy this! We have a Dyson v11 animal, about 6 years old at this point, has been a little off for the last year or two, so we took the dust canister apart to clean out some things that had some sticky spots and just make sure everything was OK. Accidentally broke part of this three-part unit, and couldn’t get it back together. So we ordered this replacement — much cheaper than buying a new vacuum, although we’d started shopping. Holy dust sucker, Batman! Replacing the ring with this new assembly has brought this six-year-old vacuum cleaner back to something much more like it’s original self. I mean, did the classic, “vacuumed a small area that we had recently vacuumed,” test and picked up a third of a canister of very fine dust and dirt out of the carpet. Yeesh. Apparently, this one Dyson component does not age as well as the rest of the cleaner, and it does need to be replaced every so often. Maybe more often than we did. And good grief did it make a difference! The build on the replacement seems perfectly adequate, it fit exactly and snapped and screwed into place without a single glitch. CAVEAT: There is a single screw that holds this unit in place on your vacuum. This does not come with a new one. Do not lose the one from your vacuum, you will need it when this unit arrives. (On the other hand, our unit came with a screwdriver that fit the old screw perfectly.) Honestly, we’re going to go check the other two fading units. We had vanished to Loeser roles in faraway corners of our home to see if we can’t bring them back to life for a couple of bucks.

I decided to buy this sealing ring when the one on my Dyson vacuum cleaner started failing. Whenever I emptied the bin, the ring would come apart. Despite multiple times to fix it, it kept disassembling itself. I decided to give this replacement a try. I installed it yesterday, and so far it has been working very well. I also really appreciated the fact that it came with a small screwdriver to facilitate removing the old ring and replacing it with this one. All in all, I am very satisfied with this product..

Fits the dust bin and solves a frustrating issue with these Dyson models. The red silicone part is lower quality than original but so far it's still alright.

Easy to follow directions and swap the broken with this replacement and works great.
