I have the sandwich toaster which I haven't used because the toaster slots are not wide as I expected and I would have to make the thinnest sandwiches that it is possible to make to use it. This rack is great to have because I always warm the plate before putting my crumpets on. but I find that it should be wider so that it covers the width of the toasting slots. I use it every time. I have seen it described as stainless steel, as far as I can tell, it is chromed steel, I don't think that anyone would waste time in chroming stainless steel and it is heavy. By the way, crumpets just about fit in the toaster slots. One of the great things about this toaster is that you don't get burning crumbs.

If you want to warm a croissant or similar this item is ideal. It is also very sturdy and the way it is built makes it suitable for any Dualit toaster. The only possible downside would be where to store it--it's a bit bulky. We have a six slice toaster and don't often use the last two slots, so it neatly sits there when not in use! Although it's amazing how often we use it now: we can microwave something then place it on the rack for another minutes to crisp-up what would otherwise take ages to heat in an oven, or be rather soggy if eaten straight from the microwave!

they work as they should

Designed for use with all types of the classic and new gen toasters, ( fits perfectly on our 4 slice toaster and is adjustable for other sizes), we have found it ideal for warming croissants, pain au chocolats and similar. Can also do bagels but we find it just as easy to pop them in the toaster slots as normal, even on our 5 year old model that doesn't have the bagel heating option. One point to note is, presumably to protect the toaster elements, you are advised to only use this for a maximum of 3 minutes before letting the toaster cool completely. In real terms, that means you only have enough time to warm two rack loads e.g. two split bagels. Despite that caveat, this does give your basic Dualit toaster some more flexibility and, whilst not a necessity, is a useful accessory.

Very simple, very effective. Slightly sprung so it fits and holds in the toaster slots until you want it off. Holds poppadoms, ciabatta, crumpets, naan bread the perfect distance above the toaster to get them hot. I wish now that I’d bought one years ago!

Best purchase ever! Size can be adjusted easily depending on size of toaster. Fits our 4 slice toaster perfectly and is brilliant for warming croissants for brekkies in the guest house. Looks classy too and get a lot of compliments about them. Best gadget purchase of the year so far!

Great item if you want to warm croissant or similar. Do need to be aware that will require Dualit toaster to be on full heat and toaster will need to be positioned with clear air above.

I love this warming rack! I no longer have to waste electricity and time, waiting for my huge oven to get to temp. I can just pop my bread, scone, croissants on the rack and switch on. You most certainly have to watch and turn your goodies so they don’t start to burn...it does get very hot very quickly! But 3 minutes is so much better than 15 for a lovely warmed piece of sourdough.

It warms croissants nicely, but only warms
