Hi Ian, I suppose the answer is Yes, as too the amount I can't answer. But what I can say is that this was recommended to me by a Doctor for a compression of the sciatic nerve and it helped me deal with the pain. I have a habbit of twisting my back when lifting things so i suffer a bit with sciatica and deep heat just wasn't any good anymore so after trying this Gel I was shocked. Now to date I have purchased 8 boxes of 125ml when I start to get any pain around my lower back I apply this gel and I'm almost back to normal next day just a little stiff. I hope this has help you
