The bins have changed a horrible mustard colour first time I received this colour

I was recently diagnosed as having Diabetes Type 1. I'm sure you are aware (whether you have Diabetes or not) the need for the testing of blood sugar and secondly injection of Insulin.The blood sugar is tested by physically pricking your finger and testing the blood on test strips; the Insulin speaks for itself.One area which isn't particulars well known is in Scotland, (where I'm located) "sharps containers" - used to hold disused needles and scalpel blades is not a requirement. For obvious reasons, ie contamination of diseased blood, these containers which are incinerated, allow for 100% destruction of the contents.When I was diagnosed, I purchased smaller containers (250ml), which turned out where way too small for my requirements; needing up to four blood tests and six injections, per day. These soon fill up, very quickly. Though perhaps handy for temporary containments eg holidays.For that reason, I decided a larger container, which here there are four 1litre boxes, would be the ideal product. Now having purchased the boxes, feel this is the correct decision, having to be able to place the empty insulin pens in side, alongside the needles and blood lancets. They are simply the perfect size. I just started a second box, several weeks after the initial one, so presume I have at least a month before I need to purchase new ones.My only neg comment, is simply as stated. In Scotland, there is no requirement for the sharps containers in a domestic environment, so I have to purchase them, rather than receiving them on prescription.

This one didn't have the spider web push through cover.Only a sliding cover.Really hard to tell which ones do and don't as they all look and are described the same.

This product is not the correct colour . The industry sharps bin colour is bright yellow so it is easily identifiable, not the dirty greenish mustard colour of the product supplied. I can’t even return as returns are not accepted. DO NOT BUY IF YOU NEED A REAL SHARPS BIN!!
