This is a wonderful product. The quality is very good. It was easy to install and it has kept my mother safe. She had fallen out of the bed several times before we had this installed and now even others at the nursing home are getting them. Certainly a goodbye to know your mother is safe.

If you have any kind of deep mattress this will only come above the the mattress 3 or 4”. It looks super tall in the photos but be sure to measure if you need it to be well above the mattress. This is great for an adult but definitely wouldn’t work for a kid to stop them from rolling out of bed.

Happy to say that my husband hasn't fallen out of bed since I installed this! He's an 80 year old with Parkinson's Disease, so this is one less worry for sure! Was quite easy to install, which was a good thing, since the directions were almost unreadable (see photo)!

Very practicle solution for a recovering rehab person to prevent them from getting out of bed in the middle of the night without letting sleeping partner know. Easy to install, slim profile, and works easily. Like it very much.

Directions showed separate end caps which needed to be soaked and then put onto long straight tubes which form part of the base which goes under the mattress. However, end caps were already installed on the tubes. Then the tubes had to be screwed onto the bottom of the folding part of the rail. Oops! Holes were misaligned so had to drill the hole on the railing so it would align with the hole on the bracket at the end of the tube. Had to buy metal drill bit and drag out and charge our drill. Also the pictures online show the release mechanism in two different locations (either the top or bottom of the upper rail (helpful to put nearer or farther from the patient)). But the directions only show how to assemble with the release mechanism at the bottom. Be prepared to make this a project. Note after use Nov. 2023: My husband keeps getting his legs caught through the slats and difficult to get them out. Also if put release where person with dementia can get it, they may lower railing and possibly get out/fall out of bed (we are "frequent flyers" with local EMS to pick him up).

My disabled husband has REM sleep disorder and before this he was regularly throwing himself out of bed. It is just tall enough for our very high mattress and stays put without using the included strap. This has stood up to his 180 pounds of pressure and is easy for him to release in the dark to get out of bed when he needs to.

Assembly may be a breeze, but I wouldn't use this as a guardrail for a toddler, let alone an adult. Totally inadequate, lousy welds, not square when assembled and flimsy. Despite a "safety belt" to keep the framework moored to bed, it moves and won't keep an adult in bed. Most mattresses today are deeper than 8" and even though it's supposed to work for 8 inches, it's barely tall enough to act as a barrier to falling. Total waste of money.

Excellent product. Very easy to install. However, mattress width should be at least 6 inch.. very good finishing.

Worked perfectly to keep my stepdad safe in bed. He hated it but for peace of mind keeping loved ones safe this is great. The button to release it down was nice and easy to use, had it installed on the bed in mere minutes.
