This item is outstanding for what it does. Lodge handles are designed "specifically" to fit Lodge pot/pan products but they will fit other types of cast iron or heavy stainless cookware. In this case, I had purchased through Amazon, some of the cheap "suspect silicone" handles to put on Mauviel cookware. When they arrived, the handles were predictably cheaply made, incredibly flimsy and worse, rotated around the handles so easily when you picked up the pan, just that movement itself became incredibly dangerous. I say all that to say....DON'T buy cheap. Go with these Lodge handles. They're incredibly well-made and fit very snugly or tightly to whatever handles you're putting them on. Lodge cast iron or your Mother's cast iron pans or Mauviel pots and pans, whatever pan.....etc. These handles will fit snugly and don't worry about the length of the handle vs the length of the holder....they'll work in almost all situations. I say almost cause there's bound to be someone with a 47" handle on a submarine grade steel pan that's not happy with this product. HOWEVER, everything being equal, buy this product with complete confidence. They will fit and they do work. Hope this helps.

This sleeve is much better than most of the generic ones you'll find because it's thicker and fits on the handle much tighter. It's night and day compared to a thin loose fitting sleeve in the dexterity and ease of lifting a heavy cast iron pan. It's hard to get on, but that's because of how tight the fit is. Once on it doesn't slip or move around and we keep it on our pans permanently.

I bought these to go on my matfer crepe pan and 11.5” skillet. They fit nice and snug and the ovalized cross section give a very solid grip. The only downside I can see is the thickness at the hanging loop of the pans maybe makes it a little harder to hang the pan on the hooks my rack but I still give it 5 stars.

This Silicone handle holder is only for use with Lodge CRS8 Pre-Seasoned Carbon Steel Skillet, 8-inch , Lodge CRS10 Pre-Seasoned Carbon Steel Skillet, 10-inch , and Lodge CRS12 Pre-Seasoned Carbon Steel Skillet, 12-inch . This will not fit Lodge Cast Iron Pans. I own all of the pans listed above. I had to give up my cast iron due to arthritis and the inability to lift and hold the weight of the pan. I love all my Lodge Carbon Steel but the handles do get hot, even though they are long. I was using Lodge 2HHMC2 Hot Handle Holders/Mitts, multi-color Peppers, Set of 2 with my carbon steel pans but they are made of cloth and I wanted something I felt safer leaving on the pan when cooking. The silicone handle fits the carbon steel pans perfectly. It is easy to slip on and remove but once on the pan it stays in place. The silicone is thick and appears to be well made and protects my hands from heat transferred from the pan to the handle. These are available in other colors but I like the black handle holder as it gives the appearance of being made onto the pan.

I ordered this to use on a Matfer Bourgeat 11 7/8" fry pan and it fits snugly over the metal handle. This Lodge handle is a little thicker than I would prefer, but it definitely offers a secure grip and it does not get hot at all when used on the stove. I haven't tried it in the oven yet. Don't forget to remove it to clean, dry & lightly oil the metal handle from time to time.

These are thick... . They protect well from burns...I use them on my de buyer pans and restaurantware pans.... . They are thicker than others...and 500 degree heat safe .....use them on all my carbon steel pans.... . Highly recommend

Cette poignée s emboîte parfaitement sur ma crepiere De Buyer. Il faut forcer un peu pour l enfiler et de ce fait elle ne risque pas de glisser. Évite de se brûler quand la chaleur commence à se transmettre après la cuisson de quelques crêpes.
