Bad overall fnot enough space to say all.
So, the dial has to be viewable at eye level which most of the time is not practical. It's a bit of a "Hit an Miss" thing to get an accurate reading. It probably is accurate but without a test sample it's not possible to tell.

I purchased this Shore D and a similar Shore A durometer. I bought them for onsite inspection. After my purchase I had no immediate use after a period of one year, before using, i tried to make sure they are calibrated. I sent them for calibration, and both failed. They said they are not calibratable... basically useless. They are still in pristine condition and brand new in their box. I suppose i cannot return them anyway....
