Slimy times
So far, the results are unclear. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about our new infant family chieftain eating this as he tours his outdoor domain, but the slug damage to certain plants continues. They are not annihilated, but even the day after spraying there is some damage to certain plants. It is possible that the damage is slowed somewhat. The new hydrangea is surviving OK but the new honesty plants continue to be nibbled, with tell-tale slime trails on the leaves the day after spraying. Hellebores looking very good for a change although they were already mature. Overall the garden is looking lush despite me not hosepipe watering this year, and the nutrients in this may be helping. The lawn, clover and all, is looking relatively good. However, at night, said lawn (also treated) is like a Picadilly Circus of slugs - a veritable carpet of them. In some ways this doesn't matter because I think they are just eating lawn trimmings, but I would prefer slugs to avoid my garden altogether. This was achieved with slug pellets but since acquiring a baby these are no longer an option - they look like little blue sweets. It is hard to judge this product definitively because up until a couple of months ago I was using pellets, which worked really well. The acid test for this product will be springtime but for now I am undecided about whether to bother again.

Finally Plants growing
This is great.Safe to use round children and pups ,I'm still careful when using. I've tried loads of different products to save my plants. I re planted my raised flower bed and sprayed this round them. I've not seen a slug near it or on it this also has helped my pots as well. Brilliant stuff certainly recommend this. NO MORE SLUGS WHOOP WHOOP.

Not worth the money
I used this product and it has cut down on the snails although there are still some. But the SLUGS. Literally 2 days after using i had the biggest infestation of baby slugs i have ever had and they stripped my new bedding plants. I may as well have poured the money for the plants and this product down the drain. I needed the pet friendly but very disappointed

Kills bees :(
I bought this because it is a natural slug deterrent (so is natural and doesn’t actually kill the slugs), and the product says that it is safe for all wildlife. However, I have used it on vegetables that are planted next to lavender.Every year hundreds of bees buzz tirelessly around the lavender but this year, in the evenings several of the bees are dead (or dying) on the plant. It is heartbreaking. The only thing I have used (ever) is this slug deterrent and having done research it seems that this is what has poisoned the bees.At the same time, the slugs have devoured my courgettes! There have been some survivors (although the last one did taste very odd) and so this product gets two stars on the basis that if you’re not going to use it near plants that the bees love, then you shouldn’t have the same guilt-inducing issues I’ve had. Plus it’s probably good to try more ‘natural’ methods of slug management rather than ruthless pellets.
