Hi the bag is very strong, I used it for a trip to Lapland and a trip walking in the Dolomites , good flight bag too I can get my iPad in and my phone passport, wallet sunglasses, maps all secure as it faces the front .

Is it waterproof? Can you tell me how wide is the carry handle after taking off the shoulder strap? Thanks

No, the front (zipped) compartments are not waterproof as they have drainage holes in them. The materials will be water resistant and feel like they are very good quality and sturdy. There is a rear pocket that is open at the top, with a press stud fastener. I agree with others about the strap width.

How long is the strap

Well. I am 1.77 metres in height and 90 kgs in weight and the strap is long enough to go over my head and sling under either arm (as well as functioning as a sling bag over one shoulder. It is adjustable and well long enough and short enough for that purpose - however tall/fat you are.. Carrying capacity not that great but will take small bottles of water, passports, documents, wallet, camera +charger, mobile + charger and is ideal as a daysack but won't take extra clothing or a average sized laptop.

Has anyone used it as an under-seat aircraft cabin bag? If so, with which airlines? Dimensions look like it might qualify as second carry on bag.

No issues, small enough to fit easily under the aircraft seat.
