I am very impressed with the Elementum 2.
Coming from having carried a larger blade (3.62” blade) in my pocket for the last few years, I wasn’t too sure about the Elementum 2’s smaller size. I hemmed and hawed over it for a couple weeks, but something about the aesthetics of this knife kept me coming back and looking at it, so I pulled the trigger and took a risk. And man am I glad I did! The other reviewers aren’t kidding. This knife is impressively sharp, right out of the box. “Super slicy” is the term I keep hearing, and yeah, the Elementum 2 is exactly that. It slices through paper and cardboard like butter, with no signs of getting dull yet. Handle wise, I typically wear an XL in gloves, and the handle fits my grip perfectly. I can get a full four-finger grip on the handle just fine. I went with the blacked out G10 handle, and the texturing feels fantastic. Not so much that it’s abrasive in your hands, and not too little that it feels smooth. Civivi found that perfect middle ground for it. When I was reading through reviews and watching videos, everyone kept mentioning how “fidget friendly” this thing is. And my thinking was “A knife is a tool, not a toy.” Why would I care about the “fidget factor?” Well, after having carried this knife for a couple weeks, I totally get it now! Lol! The button lock makes this blade fun to flick open and closed. Super smooth action. No sticking. No hang ups. I am very impressed and have probably opened this blade more than any other blade I’ve owned. And circling back to that size, I gotta say I love having a lighter weight knife in my pocket. I barely even notice it’s there. My only real complaint is that I’m not so sure how well the black finish on the blade will hold up over time. It’s a flatter black, and doesn’t have that same level of polish and shine that other blacked-out blades have. But, it’s still very nice to look at. So overall, I think if you’re looking for a new EDC knife that looks as good as it performs, this is your blade and you won’t regret it. It’s super slicy. Has simple, yet beautiful aesthetics. It’s fun to use. And most importantly, it FEELS high quality. I think that’s the most important thing. The Civivi Elementum 2 doesn’t feel like a cheap blade. It’s very obvious, once you get it in your hands, just how high quality this thing is.

Beautiful blade, super sharp, great value
I used to be an exclusive Benchmade person. Those are great high quality knives but the price keeps going up where they average $200 or so. I was in the need of a sub-3" knife for my EDC but didn't want to spend $200. The CIVIVI Elementum II was recommended to me so I wanted to give it a try, and why not for $70. First the knife arrived right away, in a box with a nice lined case. I'll never use the case since this is my EDC, but it was a nice addition to store your knife if you are not going to carry everyday. First impression of the blade was that it was gorgeous. Mine was a black blade with stainless wavy Damascus steel pattern. If you like Damascus steel pattern on you blades, then this will not disappoint. You can tell immediately that this is a pattern weld Damascus steel and not laser-etched, the pattern goes all the way around the blade including the spine. The feel of the knife was perfect for my hand. Not too thick so it conceals well in my pocket but thick enough to get a good grip on the handle. The handle feels sturdy and solid, having a nice weigh to it. The blade opens easily with a simple flip. I found it easy to open and close the blade with one hand. The blade lock is a nice feature. Once the blade is open and locked in, it was secure and did not feel like it would move during use. The best part was how sharp the blade was. The blade was easily just as sharp as my Benchmade blades. Easily sliced through paper, tomatoes and some meat (I tested on various things that I would normally use my knife for around the house). The blade stayed sharp after use, but I have not used it enough to comment on how long it will hold its edge. Overall, I'm very happy with his purchase.

Amazing sleek, durable, and LIGHT knife
I was looking for a sleek, light, and durable knife and this fit all three of them perfectly. I’ve always had fancy big knives with all the do nada (seatbelt cutter, window breaker, blah blah blah). But I wanted a simple, good quality knife and that’s what this is. It’s lighter than my phone, the black (one I got) is very sleek in appearance. The blades very sharp. The clip (which I need personally) doesn’t feel like it’ll break soon. It feels great in my hands. The one thing I don’t love, is to close it, it uses a button. Now the only reason I don’t love it is I’m not used to it. But I’ve had no problems with it. Overall great knife, highly recommend. Worth the price.

Great knife for the rotation
Great blade, very sharp, super smooth open and close. Button lock is very solid and feels great. Great value for the cost I just wish it were bigger to fit my hand better. Easy to carry, small and capable blade. Gold flake design looks pretty awesome and Damascus blade is beautiful and super sharp.

Nice, but weak detent, be careful.
Very nice looks and construction, came very sharp. One concern is the detent seems a bit weak. It has opened in my pocket twice, once the blade cut through my pants, basically ruining them, the second time it cut the tip of my ring finger fairly badly as I was reaching into my pocket. Just something to be aware of.

Great entry level edc knife
This was my first "premium" knife and I absolutely love it. It's got great opening action and the button lock mechanism is super fidgety. It's pretty lightweight without feeling cheap and practically disappears into the pocket. 70 dollars is more than a lot of people would spend on a pocket knife but this is worth every penny. My one complaint is that the pocket clip is super flimsy and bends very easily. Other than the pocket clip, this is pretty much a perfect knife.
