Valerian Compound for Dogs and Cats 30ml

I bought this for my 11 year old lab, who is terrified of fireworks. I’ve literally tried everything over the years and nothing really helped except having her sedated by the vet and I hated that but also fireworks go off for weeks so the dogs torture feels like it lasts forever. This year someone asked me if I had tried this one, which I hadn’t, she runs a rescue shelter and swears by this stuff for all of her animals. I must confess I was skeptical but I was also desperate, but desperate for a more natural solution, so I checked it out and worked how much I would need for my dog size so I opted for the larger bottle. The first thing I noticed was the smell, it smelled so bad but I measured out what I needed and I gave to my dog. It claimed to take around 30 minutes to get into her system and start working 🤞🏻 About an hour later the fireworks started and so did my anxiety as i waited on my terrified dog rampaging out of control around the house, terrified out of her mind but that didn’t happen, she jumped a couple of times and her ears shot up waiting for the next bang but that was it, she lay on the chair all night, she wasn’t anxious or distressed, she was quite calm and quiet. That was the first night but the rest of the nights were pretty much the same. I didn’t take her out during the times they were going off (she went out before and then again afterwards), I never left her at home alone and I made sure she got it an hour before I thought that they would start going off (so about 4pm) I used it every day for around 3 weeks and really did work for her. It only lasts for a few hours once it been in her system for about an hour but it definitely worked long enough to get her through the night. If your dog or any pet to be fair struggles with fireworks or loud noises then I would recommend giving this a try. Nobody was more sceptical than I was and I still can’t believe the results. I was delighted that she wasn’t terrified and that she didn’t have to be sedated, it’s entirely natural ingredients so no fear of nasty side effects. This product was so good that I bought another bottle, i want to make sure that I always have some in the house.

This did have a calming effect on my dog but he still is not good in a car. I have mixed feelings about this product.

They work brilliant. I have a lovely little dog who gets incredibly anxious when fireworks are going off and suffers with severe noise phobia. We have been prescribed some strong sedative last year to for very noisy nights like Halloween, bonfire and NYE night but on the other nights we use these with addition of thunder jacket and they help him to calm down almost within minutes. He suffers badly with panting, trying to run and hide, his heart beats so fast. After a small does of these, right on the back of his tongue, he calms down and chills snuggles up close to us. Just order another bottle.

Certainly didn't calm my cat down within 30 mins or at all in fact. It clearly doesn't work with every animal - shame as he's so scarfed of the fireworks & sudden noises, I'd hoped it would help.

Brilliant product! My dog is usually petrified of fireworks, this calmed her withing 30mins and lasted the whole night . No sedative effect she was just calm and unbothered by the sound .

This stuff stinks, but it works! I had a long 4 hour journey home after collecting my puppy at10 weeks old. She was sick several times on the way home. Ever since, as soon as I lift my car keys she runs and hides. She's very reluctant to get into the car. I have her on the lead, and as soon as I walk towards the car she pulls away and physically shakes. We're caravaners, so she needs to be able to travel. I tried her in front with me, in back with my other dogs, she was always sick. My poor darling was petrified, my heart was broke. I tried the spray as recommended by my vet, the calming treats, Nutra Calm from vets, lick mat; which helped a little, distracted her. I came across Dorset valerian drops. I was going on great reviews. She's only 6 months, I gave her less than a quarter of a teaspoon in some treat, half an hour later we set off. She was still reluctant to get into the car, but once we started she curled into a ball, in front seat, alert, not drosey, looking around her. We had our walk and on way home, she curled into a ball again, looking up at me as I drove, I have to stress she was not in any way 'doped' . Jumped out of car at home and was her normal self rest of day. This stuff is a life saver for me and would totally recommend to anyone with an anxious pet, travelling, fireworks, etc. It really does work. Such the tiniest drop made such a difference for my baby.

An absolute waste of money - did absolutely nothing for my dog. I even doubled the dose and it still did nothing - do not bother buying. Would rate it zero stars if I could.

Seems to work ok! I only have a small dog so dont want to overdose him! Recommended is 1.25 ml I give him 0.4ml! Seems plenty! ( i may have the decimal point in the wrong place but i give him about a third of the recommended dose)

Used to calm my dogs down while we had a guest dog here for a visit and it worked wonders to calm them down. We added drops to their food and they never noticed it while they ate. You could see them “chilled” out but not knocked out like prescription meds for relaxing anxious dogs

Too expensive for small bottle( shipping especially, ... but one should expected to pay a lot for shipping abroad), especially if you have a large dog . It works though. Make sure give this with food. It may irritated dog stomach if given without food. It will not work as tranquilizer but if your dog terrified storms - along with RX medicine it may be what you looking for. If you are willing to pay the price it will work for you.

excellent produit que j'ai commandé deux fois. Mon chat a adopté de suite ces gouttes. cela le calme au bout d'une demi heure à peu prés. Je recommande ce produit pour des chats stressés ou comme le mien qui ne soirtent pas.
