Liberty Easy Cook Long Grain Rice 5KG

This is a great bag of rice, as it says on its label it is very easy to cook, i used it to make traditional jollof rice as i prefer using this rice over basmati for this particular dish, the rice is cooked without there being any hard bits like cheaper varieties. I would highly recommend this rice and the price is alot cheaper than other rice definitely would buy again.

Cooks well, doesn't clump or go weird.

Very good quality rice.I have been using this for over 20yrs and will not chase after the big name brands as the taste is on par. It is starchy and will need to be washed at least 5 times in warm water to get rid of the starch. When the water looks clear, it is ready to put on the hob/stove. For 2 cups of rice. i put a bit of salt and 1/4 tablespoon of sunflower/vegetable oil in the rice and bring to cook on high setting on my hob. The oil ensures it does not stick together and thereby you get very fluffy rice. Cook for 20-25mins. Check the firmness of rice grains in 15mins. If getting nice and semi soft turn heat down to medium and allow water to dry. Delicious with mixed vegetable and a chicken sauce or any other tasty sauce.
