I wanted a bbq mainly for using when away with the caravan so it had to be quite small and I didn't want to spend big money. This fits the bill perfectly. It is easy to use, easy to store, easy to clean, its great! I have found it works best when placed on the ground away from any wind, I have also used it on a workbench in the garden but it seems to perform not so well when its higher up as it suffers from wind blowing through the air holes in the bottom which reduces cooking performance. I usually light it up, put the lit on and leave it for a few minutes - then the coals are nice and hot and its at the perfect temp to start cooking. After several uses I remove both trays (upper food and lower coal tray) and soak them and give the bottom area a clean, I think it will last much longer if kept clean. Highly recommend this, probably not so good for larger parties or constant use but for a family of 5 who mainly uses it on holiday its perfect! Note: you will need to buy a gas (propane in my case) regulator, a length of gas hose, and a couple of jubilee clips to connect this to your gas bottle.

I may increase my scores when I have tried this little BBQ in a couple of weeks. It is bigger than I expected, which is good...... But for now, a TOP-TIP: The lava rock supplied is very very dusty, plus there's not enough to start with - and much of it is too small for the grate and would have simply fallen through between the grate bars onto the burner - not good! ............Thankfully this is obvious just looking at it.... So first, I washed the supplied lava and then sieved it using the grate - That lost about 50% which I discarded as too small. Given previous reviews about insufficient lava, I had pre-ordered 3kg of proper lava BBQ lave rock for around £12 which was ready to go.... From that I selected enough smaller & mid-sized pieces to add to the supplied stuff, washed and sieved it using the BBQ grate to discard any pieces too small. Let it dry, tried in on the grate - and rebagged it ready for use. That has given me good bed for this BBQ, which I will try later. There was a lot of lava left over from the 3KG - so even 1-2 KG of decent lava should be more than enough for this little BBQ. ....... If I had just tipped the dirty supplied lava onto the BBQ grate there would have been a right mess and not much left onto of the grate. If the BBQ works well I will update my scores. This fix was easy and didn't cost much - so this little BBQ could be a little gem now - time will tell.

A bit difficult to put together as instructions not very clear but once assembled it's excellent, good cooking area, and cook's well on low, easy to clean.

It does what it says but needed extra lava rocks which was an added expense.

I have bought this barbecue before and I know it is good. The burners will rust after a few years but still well worth the money. Cooks quite easily.
