A very nice book
Nice book. Crammed full of information about bonsai including its history and how to grow and care for the trees. Many coloured photos of plants, suitable pots and growing mediums plus how to prune and propagate. Suitable for a beginner and probably an experienced grower too. A book you could dip into again and again.

All you need to know!
As someone dabbling with growing Bonsai this book has a lot of great info and the pics are great. For anyone interested in growing Bonsai from seed though, there are better resources out there; thus only touches briefly on germination.

The best practical Bonsai encyclopaedia to buy.
Once you open this book, you will find it hard to put down. The first thing you will see are the most beautiful photo’s throughout the book.all photo’s have all the information you will need, including both names of the tree you wish to buy or grow from seed. The book also has all the information you will need regarding caring for your tree, feeding, watering, trimming roots to mention a few. All in all this is the only book you will ever need to have.

A useful book to have if you're new to the art of bonsai; and nice to have if you're not! Lots of lovely colour photos, with advice on choosing the right tree or shrub for you, with photos of the most suitable bonsai plants. Pruning techniques are shown, different styles of tree, displaying bonsai, pots and containers, care and maintenance, and the history of bonsai. A very thorough guide to bonsai and beautiful photographs.

Great detail in the book
I think this is book is one of the most detailed books in terms of general care from the ones that I've found, really good for a beginner as it has entries about what to do in each season. Not as extensive with regards to the number of tree species but for a beginner should be more than enough information.
