Brilliant!
I used this for the first time last night, and managed to make a couple of end caps to fit over the sharp blade ends of a gardening mini mattock tool, so I can store the tool safely and carry it in a bag to the allotment without risk of injury, etc. Very easy and effective! I imagined I'd have to stitch a make a protective cover out of leather or strong webbing, but had a go with this stuff and it seems to have done the job! It took a little fiddling and experimenting, but the end caps push securely onto the blade ends and don't fall off.I thought the plastic might stick to the steel blades and be difficult to get off, but the plastic didn't stick to the metal at all. I guess because the metal is so cold. You could probably get it to stick by heating the metal up first, if for example you wanted to make a plastic handle for a metal tool.Really impressive stuff. Quite hard and tough once it has cooled down. Kind of similar to the plastic a bucket or washing up bowl might be made of, but somewhat harder. And the best part is that it is fully re-useable, so if your first attempt at making somethng doens't turn out too well, just drop it back in the hot water until it's softened and try again. Also, if you no longer need the item you have made, you can melt it down and turn it into something else! So you never need to throw this stuff away, and it will never end up in the ocean or in landfill!I followed the instructions and added just a few grains of yellow pigment to a few dessert spoonfuls of the white granules, thinking it probably wouldn't be enough to properly colour the plastic, but it end up a nice bright yellow.[PS - a minor niggle, but my pack had two sachets of black colouring granules and no sachet of green. Obviously an oversight, or a packing clerk who is colour blind.]

Just get some
This stuff is just amazing. It gets a rare 5 stars from me. It might not do what you want, but it will do something you want. And you can get packs fairly cheap to try. And it's totally reusable (does not seem to degrade with repeated heating). It is really tough when solidified - difficult to file or cut. It can just about be drilled. And also it doesn't take much thickness to be really rigid. The colour beads go a long way (though I cannot fathom why one of the colours is white when the normal ones are white). It you pull bits of it out into very thin strips you can also make springy features, which are also pretty robust. One word of caution, while mixing colours in, be careful about folding it as you can trap air and water into it and then it's real difficult to expunge it.

Polydoh beads
Although the method of melting etc is simple, to make anything accurately is nigh on impossible. It is fine for any of the basic things they show on videos, - hooks , knife handles etc, but I needed to affix an item to the edge of a bevelled door, and required a really flat surface. Even trying to use wooden formers to square it off , it still ended up with indentations in it. Trying to grind it to a level when set, is a no-no, as it heats up from grind wheel friction, and becomes (dangerously) hot and sticky again. Great for gimmicky objects, but that's all.

Useful, easy to use. Should be in every DIY kit.
I've used the formed cards before. These granules are so easy to use.We moulded and fixed a car part perfectly which would have cost £119 plus labour.Read the instructions, follow them and practice. Any mistakes can usually just be re-heated and remoulded.Very good product. Check the colours before using. I'm old (lol) in mistook blue for black. My error. Take your time. Patience gives brilliant results.

A technological wonder, so handy in all kinds of fixes around the house
So far we've created a new door handle, repaired a broken blind rod, insulated an aerial cable.Sugru used to be our go-to repair stuff but it's expensive and needs to be used quickly after purchase. We have used a tiny fraction of this bag and it has paid for itself several times over already.Just heat it up in a cup with hot (not boiling water) and mould it into shape - it can be removed and reused in this way too.

Brilliant BUT! and it’s a MASSIVE BUT
Used this to strengthen my iPhone cable I use in the car. In todays UK heatwave it’s melted and resulted in this absolute mess! To BEWARE if you use it and take the item in the car! My cable was just on the centre console and it all melted off the cableIt’s brill for everything else

Good product but solidifies too quickly
It was perhaps the explanation in the product description that threw me off but the plastic dough is not moldable less than one minute after taking out of the water. There are some work arounds - like molding it in the hot water - but take that into account when buying. Otherwise, its a good product.
