A good basic factual book for very young children. Lacking content at time and has a disappointing number of pages. It's a shame that the illustration on the cover does not feature in the book.

This 32-page book is a colourful introduction to life in Britain from the Stone Age to the coming of the Romans, for younger readers and schoolchildren. Its series of two-page chapters each highlights an aspect of the lives and culture of the early inhabitants of Britain. Each chapter is illustrated with colourful illustrations both photographs of surviving artefacts and artwork showing what life might have been like;and contains several text-pieces discussing different aspects of that chapter’s subject.
