Great product. It fixed my clogged sewer line and saved me a call to a plumber. It's great.

I've got a main line with a serious root problem. Standard maintenance on that is just regular application of root killer. Unfortunately, if you delay too long and get a complete blockage, the water stops moving. The root killer can't reach the roots, and nothing will remove the clog. Roots normally form a strainer, and it seems like your drain still works... until enough paper and whatnot forms a complete blockage. At that point, it's time to get the rooter. Have a snake or some such machine open the pipe up.Or, get this thing. For twenty-some-odd dollars, it did what a plumber with a power auger couldn't do. It opened the drain so I could get back to the normal treatment regimen.It doesn't look like much, but in the right circumstances this thing can be a real lifesaver. Those circumstances: You've got access to a cleanout, and it's a reasonably straight shot to where the problem is. It went around a 90 deg bend a few feet from where I put it in, no problem, and I had to feed it in far enough that it was past my laundry room drain's tie-in. No problem. If I had to navigate another bend, I'm not sure if I could have.One thing to note: make sure you put it in far enough that it is past any drain connections.
