Extremely hardwearing
Been meaning to post a review about this product for a while. I bought it in June 2022 in blue and orange. It was to paint a Little Tikes coupe car in our football team’s colours for my cousin’s son. I used the clear spray to protect it too. I went down at Christmas and the car was still perfect. They’ve had another child since. Both of them still play in it and it still looks as new.

DONT CHOOSE ANYTHING ELSE, Backed brand and professional finish
I recently decided to give my old and worn-out baking mixer a new lease on life by transforming it with this amazing spray paint. Let me just say, I am beyond impressed with the results! This spray paint has truly worked wonders, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. First and foremost, the application process was a breeze. The nozzle on the spray can provided a consistent and smooth spray, ensuring even coverage on every surface of the mixer. I was initially concerned about the paint dripping or forming clumps, but I was pleasantly surprised by the fine mist it created, making the job hassle-free. The coverage of this paint is outstanding! My mixer had some deep scratches and faded spots, but this paint concealed them effortlessly. With just a few coats, the mixer looked as good as new. The color I chose (Creame) added a touch of elegance and sophistication to my kitchen, making it a focal point during baking sessions. The affordability of this spray paint is another standout feature. I had considered purchasing a new mixer, but thanks to this product, I saved a significant amount of money while achieving the same end result - a stunning, refurbished baking mixer! In conclusion, I cannot recommend this spray paint enough for anyone looking to breathe new life into old appliances. It exceeded my expectations in every way possible - easy application, excellent coverage, quick drying time, durability, and an attractive color selection. Whether you're a seasoned DIY enthusiast or just starting, this spray paint is a game-changer. My baking mixer now looks better than ever, and I couldn't be happier with the transformation!

Brilliant stuff
Brilliant stuff - used it to spray a towel rail, sink taps and a shower screen edge as part if a make over which I did about 9 months ago and still looks new. Despite being used in a wet environment it adheres amazingly and has not peeled or chipped. Would highly recommend - does smell strong so use a mask.

Rust-Oleum Universal All-Surface Spray – Smooth Finish, Sticks to Anything
The Rust-Oleum AE0040022E8 Universal Spray Paint is one of the best all-round spray paints I’ve used — especially when it comes to tricky surfaces. I tested the Matt Black version on metal, plastic, and wood, and it performed consistently well across the board. ✅ What stands out: • Genuinely all-surface – Sticks to plastic, wood, metal, masonry, even ceramic — no primer needed in most cases. I used it on a tired metal gate and a plastic plant pot, both with flawless results. • Beautiful matte finish – The black comes out rich, flat, and ultra-clean. No shine or patchiness. Great for modern, minimal looks. • Easy, controlled spray – The trigger is smooth and doesn’t clog or spit. Gives even coverage without drips, even on vertical surfaces. • Durable – Once cured, it feels tough and weather-resistant. I’ve left pieces outside for a few weeks with no chipping or fade. • Fast drying – Touch dry in around 20–30 minutes. Fully cured in under 24 hours. ⚠️ Things to keep in mind: • Good prep still matters – While it claims to be primer-free, giving your surface a light sand or clean beforehand makes a big difference in durability. • Ventilation is a must – Like all spray paints, it’s got a strong smell during use. Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. 💬 Final word: If you want a reliable, no-nonsense spray paint that works across multiple materials and looks professional, Rust-Oleum’s Universal range is hard to beat. The Matt Black shade in particular gives a sleek, consistent finish that’s ideal for everything from garden decor to upcycling furniture.

Good colour match for the BBC Model B Computer
Bought the antique white gloss to give my Gotek drive and case for a PiTube a more authentic colour match for my Acorn BBC Model B computer. Really pleased with the colour, excuse the slightly dodgy finish on the PiTube wedge case as this was my first attempt at spray painting and made the mistake of applying a second coat that was too thick within 24 hours of the first. The Rust-Oleum applies well to plastic 3D printed cases. Just remember to keep the can moving back and forth whilst doing short bursts. Any second coats should be applied at least 24 hours, longer if cool or high humidity environmets, to allow the paint to properly cure. Otherwise it will crazy or bubble. Was able to apply without primer.

Good for some jobs but not all!
Used this paint in a couple of speaker cabinets. Coverage was surprisingly poor and difficult to obtain a good finish even after flattening off and recoating several times. I have used this paint before on metal garden furniture and those results were quite good but you will need about 3 times more product than anticipated to do the job well. I would also state that the spray nozzle is not the best and you may get drops in the paint. Not the easiest or most cost effective product.
