This is what I call a proper baseball cap, which does what these caps were originally intended for - namely, to effectively keep the sun off your face with that stiff, long bill. This is the sort of cap you often see being worn by actors in American movies, and has that hard-worn distressed look, which gives the appearance of it having been on fishing, hiking, or trucking adventures….I do like that this is a lightweight cap, which features a half mesh top that allows the user to receive protection to the face from the sun, yet is breathable, so won’t give you a sweaty head like many baseball caps do. It has an adjustable, velcro strap at the back, so will fit most adult heads. The sign of a good cap is one that you don’t realise you’re wearing because it’s so comfortable - this one ticks that box. I’ve tried hand-washing it in lukewarm water, then hanging it to dry naturally, and it didn’t bleed colour, shrink, or lose its shape. Given its appealing design, colour, quality, and reasonable price, this is a product I have no hesitation recommending. 👍

This is a pretty awesome looking vintage-style hat with a strong USA theme.To begin with the looks, the hat achieves its vintage style through purposeful tears around the peak of the cap and then a wash that gives it a faded appearance. The USA theme arrives with the HUGE USA wording on the front, which is done with a USA flag backing, and also the very cool white stars that cover the mesh-back of the hat. Overall, I think it looks pretty amazing.Although I like the style of the hat, I have to say that the fit and shape of it are not great for me. I have what I think is an average sized head, maybe slightly smaller than some, but I found the hat to be a little saggy, especially on top and loose around the ears too. To a degree, this fits with the vintage style I guess, with hats losing their shape over time, but I found even with the adjuster at the back done up appropriately it just looked loose.I think that anyone with a larger head would be fine with this. Even for me, I do like the hat - the awesome looks do enough to make me want to wear it despite the sizing issues. However, I wouldn't say it's my favourite cap ever as a result of the disappointing fit and shape.

This cap is definitely American styled, apart from the fact that it has 'USA' plastered over it, it also has the long peak that American caps have. I am in two minds about the mesh back, I like it because it gives ventilation and keeps you cool, but I am a bit concerned about too much sun getting to my head on sunny days. I will update this review if it becomes a problem next summer.It has a Velcro strap at the back to adjust the headband and so it is very easy to get a comfortable fit, the comfort factor is also helped by it being very soft and flexible. The washed denim effect together with the artfully arranged 'damage' gives it a well used and comforting feel.I also like that the instructions say that it can be machine washed at 30 degrees, it would be rather ironic if this 'washed denim' product couldn't be washed!The price at the time of writing is £ 9.99 which I think is about right and I would be happy to pay that much for it.

Comfortable and stylish.But the back part is mesh.I think it looks cheap and naff.

A big head generally means I can just about get away with these one size fits all by having the band set to pretty much the maximum.This hat is a little different having a simply Velcro hook and eyes band in two corresponding halves, I could set this to half way and it was generous enough - which is good.This style of hat reminds me of the first baseball caps I every had as a lad, with the mesh back half, which is patterned appropriately with stars, like Wonder Woman's pants.The front being cotton along with peak of the cap itself.I'm not overly fussed by the worn look, in fact I'd rather have had it unworn, I am well able to wear these things out myself...But it's a look for sure, and for that classic Americana look this is pretty good - and with USA in old glory is a strong as it gets.In conclusion pleased to have a hat that doesn't make me a tad paranoid about my head size.

So that's that then!This lightweight baseball cap does a great job in looking years old - today's fashion! - complete with worn out edges and faded look, and yet it is LOVED by many. Our grandson collects baseball caps and this one has immediately become his 'one to wear', which he does most days.The cap is credit to the manufacturers as it really does look exactly how it should look.
