Final Touch Conundrum Wine Aerator Decanter Drinking Gift, Clear,375ml

Wanted a 1/2 bottle decanter as I'm the only red drink at home and like to spread a bottle over 2 nights. Have owned this for 2 years now and think it is fantastic. It looks good. I think the shape helps wine aeration but nothing special. If I'm decanting into a full bottle decanter I always flip the wine upside down into the neck of the decanter and I think that will do as good a job. I think it's made of polycarbonate - it's very light and when I dropped it on the kitchen floor and it just bounced around. This may not be for everyone - polycarbonate doesn't have the feel of glass - but for an everyday (ok - "mostday" :-} ) decanter it's great. The base looks like a plated metal and polycarbonate doesn't like the dishwasher so I've always just given it a thorough rinsing out. This has been absolutely fine as I don't leave it empty long enough for dry residues to form. Would immediately replace if I somehow break it. One of my most used kitchen accessories!

Right, first things first, yes this only holds half a bottle. But that's fine. You pour the wine in, and then you immediately pour a glass (or two) then add the remaining wine. No biggie. The aeration works immediately so as soon as the wine is in the decanter, it's ready to drink. I blind-tested it on my partner - two glasses of red, one from the decanter, one straight from the bottle and he immediately picked the aerated wine - on two occasions with different wines. Apart from anything else, the decanter looks beautiful, it's such a lovely addition to the table. And the fact that it's smaller works in its favour with regard to storing it. We will be buying another, just because we like them so much and intend to have a couple on the table at any time. Washing-wise, we haven't put it through the dishwasher, it is quite fragile, but a quick rinse with warm water and then standing it upright on the draining board has been more than adequate so far. We love it - and heartily recommend it.

Hi this decanter is rubbish. It is plastic? not glass. The metal base is wafer thin and looks, and is, very cheap. The rim is just a finish to the plastic top only and a very poor finish. It is also almost weightless. This product would be more suitable in a £ shop. I would be ashamed to give it to anyone as a present. Suggest you delist it from your range of products a s a p. It is smaller than if like but pour a couple of glasses through it and top it up with the rest of the bottle. Looks fantastic. Would be better if it had a stopper bug you don't have to put more in than you need. A hit with the wine lover here. Very delicate. Wouldn't like it to fall over on the draining board.

I bought this for two reasons. Firstly to improve the taste of my wine which on a blind test it did. Secondly as I liked the look of it,felt it looked quite stylish and would make an interesting centre piece and talking point. Whilst it did improve the bouquet and taste of the wine in my opinion I prefer an over glass aerator that you can get, significantly cheaper too. Also in terms of the look in the pic here looks beautiful and curved when you actually get it its a little clinical looking and also pretty small and not the centrepiece I was hoping for. Pros: - improved the wine taste - pretty cool item Cons: - much too expensive for what you get - not as beautiful in real life - thought aerator was better for taste enhancement

The concept of this decanter is a good one. However like so many good concepts it is let down in it's realisation. The actual decanter itself is very flimsy and the glass is so thin you are worried about it breaking just holding it. It is very poor quality which is not reflected in the nearly £30 price for which you expect something a little more substantial. To make it easier for people to imagine, think of your thinnest, most delicate wine glass and it the glass feels thinner than that. Does it aerate the wine? Absolutely and we have enjoyed a number of good bottles of wine from it already. If it lasts a year without getting chipped or broken I will be amazed

Elegant and a good size. Although it technically could squeeze a while bottle is clearly aimed at half a bottle. The glass is a touch thin though. One could imagine this implies sophistication, but to my feel it's veering more to the fragile.

I bought this as a gift for my father and it was a big hit. It's a lovely piece and looks very smart, it's a great addition to the table. Yes, it only holds half a bottle but that hasn't been a problem. As it aerates the wine immediately, you pour in half the bottle, drink it, pour in the other half and drink it. I think it's a great gift for any wine fan.

A lot of the reviews said it was really thin glass. But honestly, for a wine decanter, it’s pretty perfect. I don’t feel like it’ll break if I flicked it. But definitely be careful washing it. It’s a great size for a regular bottle of wine. Perfect gift.
