Great for Vegans that workout!
This provides vitamins/protein for all but is great for Vegans that workout. As a Vegan it is hard to supplement Protein due to not eating animal products. Most of a Vegans Proteins also have a lot of carbs. We can eat various nuts that have a lot of protein/low carbs but as you do your research, tons of nuts is not good for the body each day. Some nuts also lower Testosterone in men. I never reach my daily Protein Levels for my size but this helps me get closer. Also provides natural occuring vitamins, this is NOT fortified. Provides natural B-12, a lot of people are low on B Vitamins. The taste will change some meals but health is more important, right? For example, I do not like the taste of these flakes give to my Red Pasta Sauce, it turns the sauce bitter. I do like how it makes White/Brown rice and many other foods taste. Has a slight cheesy/nutty flavor to me, some might not be used to it or like it. I now eat for health, not JUST taste so I love the flakes regardless. Figured this may help mentioning that. Everyone is different though and the main thing is the protein for me! That being said, you receive a small scoop inside that is basically the size of a small 5G Powder Scoop. To get the 8G Protein per serving size, that is 3 scoops, which is a lot of flakes. 3 scoops usually covers the entire plate, lol. I have learned to use less scoops on most food but combine the 3 or more scoops into soups, etc. Where it can dissolve into the food. Up to you though! It is also nice when making homemade flat bread. Unbleached Wheat Flour, Sea Salt, Yeast Flakes, Water and then mix up. Grab your cutting board and roll them out. Olive oil in the pan, cook on high for a minute on each side or to whatever texture you prefer. Delicious. I purchased 2 bags to stock up, this is my go to. To get closer to your daily Protein, you can also order some Pea Protein,Hemp Powder or Brown Rice Protein for your shakes. Pumpkin seeds are also delicious and have a lot of protein! If you are curious how much protein you should intake for your size, search a protein calculator. It will vary on your size and overall activity/workout time. Enjoy and Thanks!

Nutritionally dense source of complete protein (and so much more goodness)
Most days I have 15 tablespoons of this for 40 grams of complete protein (for 300 calories, which is a big deal for any vegan source of protein). I put that in water and it is a thick palatable clumpy solution. Won’t win prizes for being yummy but it is very palatable. With this amount of unfortified nutritional yeast (300 calories, 15 tablespoons) I get not only 40 grams of protein but also -1. 200% DV of iron2. 45% of potassium3. 70% of fiber4. 200% of B15. 280% of B26. 205% of B37. 310% of B58. 110% of B69. 120% of BiotinI do get a niacin (B3) flush with this amount but that subsides fast. The flush includes warmer, redder and itchier skin for a short period (under 30 minutes). This is also good for reducing cholesterol.I didn’t have nutritional yeast for a while and probably not enough protein. So I now can better compare the before and after situation.I had more acne outbreaks and slower healing acne. Getting back to this amount of nutritional yeast is helpful and my skin is much clearer and in control now, and I am sure I will have perfect skin soon.I also have a healthy glow in my face and skin that’s undeniable. My hair is also much softer. My sleep has also improved a lot becoming much deeper. My emotional health seems to thrive on nutritional yeast too as well as my metabolism as I can get away with many more calories without gaining weight.I do try to eat healthy, and while it is not “fun” to have nutritional yeast I like how it makes me feel physically and emotionally along with my veggie smoothie in the morning. I get the nutritional yeast and veggie smoothie in early on in the day so my digestion has plenty of time to work through all that (liquid and fiber wise) before I sleep. I need plenty of bathroom trips on such a diet but it works well for me.

Such a delicious way to get in extra nutrition
I have been putting this stuff on absolutely everything I eat and I'm loving it! It's such an easy way to add a nice cheesy/nuttiness to my food while at the same time adding a nice boost of vitamins and minerals without it being an excessive amount like the fortified versions can be. I especially love that there's a good amount of iron in the flakes which is something I've been trying to get more of. The nutritional yeast flakes seem to be of a high quality and you get lots of it. This bag will last me a long time even though I put it on everything and I will absolutely continue to order it when I eventually run out. Highly recommend.

better than the fortified ones
You can buy nutritional yeast from almost all grocery stores. However those are most likely fortified with synthetic vitamins and iron. You do not want/need that. This thing in its original form is already rich in those. So I prefer getting the organic, untouched unfortified option which is only available online. This has slightly milder taste but flakes are relatively bigger than those availble in groceries which lead to better texture. Overall I add this to pasta, steamed vegetables, toasts and many other main dish or side dishes. It enhances flavor, boosts nutritional value and provides fiber and protein. I really love it

Great Cheesy Flavor. Would Prefer More Consistently Flaky Content.
We had never tried this brand. We were a little weary because it is sold in a bag instead of a solid container. The contents of the bag have a bright yellow color, which they say comes from the fortified vitamins. The added nutrition from the fortified vitamins is helpful for those on a plant-based diet. It is a mix, with half of it being nice flakes, and the rest being powder. It must be harder to maintain the flake texture in a soft bag. Previously we bought Nutritional Yeast in a hard container that protected the texture. A flaky texture makes it easier to combine with prepared foods. Whereas the powder form may be easier for recipes. This product definitely has a very nice cheesy flavor to it. It goes well with many foods. It is a good product. We give it 4 stars only because we were looking for a more consistently flaky product.
