I bought this to catch our mail so that it did not fall onto the floor and get soaked in urine from our elderly incontinent cat. It fits perfectly onto the double-glazed uPVC door and was easy to fit and is very easy to use.

I needed this to keep the draughts out, but an ordinary box was no good because the door opens straight against the wall. It turns out this bag is also fireproof. I haven't tried that out but it does look very sturdy and was no trouble at all to fix. It isn't the most attractive thing in the world, which is why it has gone down a star. I wish the manufacturers, now they have cracked the functional aspect of this bag, might consider either printing designs on it or having a velcroed-on secondary bag that looks less hi-security and utilitarian.

Quite pricey, but excellent for peace of mind for security and safety of your building, but it is fiddley to fix, trying to screw in tight via the inside of the bag! Instructions clear and simple to do, maybe need extra hands.

Really irritated with this product. It is so fiddly trying to put the screws fully in which I still haven't managed to do and in the process I have ripped to small holes near the stitching close to the inside corners of flap. I am really disappointed with this product after ignoring the negative reviews I should have listened. So say someone did pour flammable liquid through my letter box it would should get through the holes and into my house. Crap quality for the price and for so called protection. please see photo!

Its a simple matter to take apart, one frame tightening screw and two flap control thumb wheels. Gently spread the released frame. The fire proof back can be eased off, just careful over left and right pillars. This leaves a frame. Check where you are fitting and remove the tape covering the adhesive. Fix to the door. Centre mark the four screw holes, and screw down firm. Feed bag back over the frame. Fit the frame. Done. No struggling, perfect neat fit. No holes in bag that would allow oxygen to feed a fire

One off product available in its own category. Ideal for doors in narrow corridors (most of semi-terraced haouses). Would get 5 stars if: - Letter bag material gave more choices to match your door or corridor decor. - Plasticy smell of material or anti-fire prrof was more subttle...

Would definitely recommend this item if your concerned about kids putting fireworks through your letterbox for 'fun'

Does the trick. Main reason for purchase was for draught exclusion...the heating thermostat is in the hallway which is in proximity to the front door. Though there is a letter box draught excluder it doesn't stop all the cold air in when the newspaper is left within it allowing significant draught to pass through. This bag is an excellent way to minimize draughts. Easy to install and use.
