yummy if you like stuff like chocolate covered gummy bears but nothing like a real turkish delight

This was my first introduction to Turkish Delight, and it is fantastic. I bought this on four separate occasions over the past few years and it has always been excellent. I will say don't order if you live in the US during the summer months because it takes a few weeks to arrive and the heat will melt it, but if that happens let it sit near an AC or in the fridge for an hour at most and it will firm back up easily, doesn't affect the taste either, at least in my opinion. It does taste best at room temp though. If you have never tried Turkish Delight before and remember it from the old Narnia movies/books, then it might be a shock for you (mostly for my fellow Americans), it's taste, and overall mouthfeel can be different from what we are used to here so bear that in mind if you are on the fence, get a small pack to test if first and if you like it, come back for more! I also love the traditional Turkish Delight that is red cubes with powdered sugar and starch on it, but that is most certainly an acquired taste even beyond this version and not for people who aren't open to a whole new flavor and texture experience. The chocolate if I'm not mistaken is made through Cadbury so if you like their Dairy Milk or Caramello bars you surely will love this.

I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath Air Base from 1971 until 1978. I was introduced to Turkish Delight by my wife, whom I met while stationed in your great country. When I was discharged from the Air Force in 1984, my family would return to England because of my wife still having relatives. I always made it a point to purchase Turkish Delight. As my children grew older they would visit their relatives in Peterbourgh. On their return they'd always make sure to bring old Dad some Turkish Delight's. Some of my co-worker's made several trip's to England and I'd ask them to visit a candy shop and pick me up some bars of Turkish Delight. Back in May a good friend of mine was going to visit Liverpool and London. I asked her to look for Turkish Delight and pick me up several bar's. She was in such a rush during her she never got a chance to purchase my favorite. I miss my Turkish Delight. Thank God for the computer age. Something told me to look up Turkish Delight on the computer, and low an behold I found your company. I think I purchased over a dozen bars of your product. I am a diabetic, but I usually have a bar of Turkish Delight once a week. After I placed my order I think I received it within 5 days. I was really impressed with the quick delivery. I don't to wait for my family members making a trip to jollie old England to get my favorite candy. I really love Turkish Delight. It's gotten to the place I have to hide of supply of bars in my freezer from my wife and kids. Having traveled through Canada and the UK I discovered mass produced candy bar form turkish delight. I have been hooked since my first bite. Living over in the USA, we don't have a commercial turkish delight candy bar. We do have the traditional cubes of turkish delight that is rolled in coconut shavings or powdered sugar. And that is a very nice treat. But sometimes you just crave the chocolate covered bar like Fry's or (in Canada) Nestle's "Big Turk" bar. So, if I want this more commercial style of Turkish Delight, i must order it from overseas from someone I can trust. The Fry's version that you see here is IMO the better of the commercial, mass produced candy bar form. Fry's is fruitier, softer (for a more delicate feel in your mouth) and the chocolate covering it is much smoother and less waxy then the Nestle version. All those observations being made, I prefer the Fry's over any other commercial confectioners brand. So that brings me to my review of "Spellbound From England". I can't say anything bad about this retailer. They deliver my turkish Delight quickly over the Atlantic and it always arrives in fine condition. No broken or squashed bars. No pieces of flaked off chocolate flying everywhere when opening the package. My orders (i have placed multiple orders with these fine people) always fresh and tasty. I give Spellbound From England 5 stars. They get the job done in a timely manner. Good people!

I had these 30 years ago in the UK when I was in the military. I never forgot them. I just ordered some and handed them out at my work. Everyone loved them. Different....like chocolate covered gummies, kinda. Takes a while to get here, and kinda expensive, but had to get reunited with this delicious treat. Why don't we have these in the US????

A recent trip to Ireland this year introduced me to Fry's Turkish, and I really missed them when I came back to Canada. The Canadian equivalent, known as "Big Turk" has been my favorite candy since childhood and after I tried Fry's Turkish I immediately questioned a lifetime spent accepting the bare minimum of standards when it comes to eating mass-produced, chocolate enrobed Turkish delight. My candy eating life was a sham. I knew it and could never go back to the way it was. But it's not my fault, I was born in Canada, Fry's Turkish does not stand amid the chocolate bars at the local gas stations as an option. This seller is giving a gift to the world by giving me and others like the chance to improve our lives and do better at a price point that is manageable. Regarding the shipment: much faster than expected and was boxed nicely, received in good order the packages inside clearly marked and the bars very fresh. Regarding the bars themselves: If you know, you know but for Canadians who don't understand what this seller is offering, please take a small risk and buy yourself a box on impulse. It is your higher self asking you to add it to the cart and buy this. Prepare yourself for thick rich choco coating, not waxy or streaked, experience biting into a bar with insides all pleasant and jammy, almost runny- no hard starchy jujube vibes- taste a great berry flavor with a tiny hint of OMG actual rosewater finish. I mean seriously, as far as candy counter options go Fry's Turkish is in a class of it's own. An Irish person recommended I refrigerate mine and I thought that was insane because if I were to put a Big Turk in the fridge and attempt to eat it, I might chip a tooth, but honestly keeping the Fry's Turkish cool really seems to be the way to go. I'll stop this review before I break onto song or start to use emojis liberally or something but just know this bar is amazing and the seller is prompt, sent me the the real deal that was not stale or expensive and uses boxes when sending. Five Stars.

以前オーストラリアに住んでいた時に、息子が大好きでした。近くには売っているところがないため、こちらで購入しました。 コロナの影響でか、到着までに少し時間がかかったのと、輸入品であるため値段が高かったので星4つにしました。味はオーストラリアで食べたものとまったく同じです。子供も喜んで食べていたので買ってよかったです。

These are not genuine frys Turkish delight. The chocolate is totally different. Nowhere near as good as the UK ones

I've been looking for these for a while. I bought these when I lived in England for a couple of years. Big Turk is chewy but these are soft and delicious. Nice blend of chocolate and the filling. I'm so glad that I decided to order them. I ordered on 19 Feb and got it on 12 March 2024 so it does take a while to get it but it is worth the wait.. They came in a small box undamaged. They are fresh. This is something that I would buy again. If you like Turkish delight, I would recommend this product.
