It says its 50 UVA and I have found it good. Except it all got lost in the post one time from India.

Q: how often does the sunscreen need to be applied???

As often as normal sunscreen. In european springtime, once a day, in tropical summers, every few hours.

Q: can someone tell me if you can use it around the eye area?? and also is it suitable for oily skin (face)

You can use this around eyes, just dont get product into eyes. This lotion states it is acceptable for all skin types.
