Currently a first year graphic design student. I wanted a computer and tablet in one. As an iPad lover but Mac hater, this is the perfect solution for my needs. Acts as both my iPad and my pc/laptop and I couldn’t be happier! The pen is great, the keyboard is a must. I will probably be a surface shopper for the rest of my life now. My only complaint is the battery does die quickly but I also use it 8+ hours a day.

Bought this to replace my aging surface pro 4. Really liked that one, but the screen had issues and it couldn't cool itself enough anymore. Best new features of this new model: USBC! You can also charge with USBC, even on a very slow charger. Even the usbc port in my outlet was enough (though slow at only 12 watts). Can't give it 5 stars though. The battery life is not great (I have an i5 model). I was really expecting all day battery, but it's more like 4-ish hours or so. I don't know what it's rated for, but i expected more. The keyboard doesn't fit as well up against the screen as my old one. It has a space for a pen, but it won't fit the pen from my older surface. It also covers part of the bottom of the screen. There is no MicroSD slot anymore, which is a bummer. Good news is that the hard drive is replaceable. It would be WAY cheaper to get the smallest hard drive and upgrade with an aftermarket drive. Unfortunately, if you get the smallest drive, you'll also be ram limited. I have an 8GB model, but I really should have upgraded to the 16. 8GB just isn't enough these days.

Very Microsoft compatible. My set-up uses MobileSheets, Meta Pen 3 and a Donner page turner. No real problems and way cheaper and easier than using IOS compatible stuff. And I love it that MobileSheets comes with a 184-page .pdf user guide that's always easily accessible on the tablet.

Tons of reviews on MS Surfaces. I am not a gamer but for the fun of it, loaded up Quake and it played it well enough for me. It connects well to other devices and I use it for diagnostics on cars and as a scan tool. It could use a few more connections for sure. And it is annoying that MS doesn't allow third party keyboards to interface/charge from the tablet. Maybe I'll tear apart my cheapo keyboard and make it work with MS as it should have happened.

The camera does not work. It worked once and the next time tried to use it, did not. The camera will no longer display anything. And now past window to return. The camera works fine now, perfect! Come to find out it was an issue with an app. Updated review 1 to 5.

I saw a couple of poor reviews regarding this product, but I have had no issues. This is a replacement for a previous Surface, and I am as happy with this as I was the previous. One word of caution, this does NOT come with a micro SD slot, so the memory listed is all that is available. That said, I already have separate drives for additional memory that does not need to be on the computer.

Am in software engineering for past decades so know a little bit of computing technology. Personally, was impressed with this product - while buying it for a high school kid. So was looking for a product which is easy to carry, quick to open and stash, easy to work on, has keyboard and screen touch options - something which is a combination of a tablet (or iPad) and a laptop. Surface provides all that. The touch screen is easy to work with which makes it a good tablet option, while at the same time with a keypad it is good to work on as a computer. So, why not iPad - mainly because this is largest screen size (13 inch) in this family of products - and it is not having OS of a mobile device but runs a full MS windows 11 operating system. Good for people who are looking for a handy laptop, with some compromise on screen size.

I updated from the 1st surface go, which has the right size for me, 10 inch is better to use as a tablet, but the processor is too slow after 5 years using. I mostly use surface as a tablet, so I think i5-8G-256 is good enough, but I forget it comes with win 11, which mean 16 is the basic line, if keep all the features on. I turn off most the unnecessary features, instead of update to i7-16G, which is not in my budgets. It running smoothly on basic task, web, word, excel, drawing, watching video. It works fine with WSL, better than win10. I don't intent to install other production software, which I will do on PC. The battery and screen are great, better than I expected. Battery last 1 day for one charge without problems. Almost can't feel the fan noise and heat. The only flaw is the kickstand not even, when use as a tablet, that is annoying. So I bought a slim case for it, problem solved. The delivery is great, I got a password, and the delivery man sent the package to my hand and verify the password. Not like the other products was dropped in front of my porch.
