I add with water but use the special straws with filter at the end so i dont get any of the tea leaves.

For good results add 5 (yes, 5) heaped tablespoons to a 1.5L French press (i.e. a cafetière). Add two thirds warm tap water, add one third boiling water. The benefits are huge — however the taste of mate is earthy and really improves with the addition of a shot or two of fruit juice cordial. Enjoy! Mate is a remarkable natural nootropic.
