The Very Busy Spider

Very cute book for kids. Well written and illustrated. Nice and sturdy for all of those book bending toddlers out there!

This is both mine and my sons favorite Eric Carle book. It is beautifully simplistic, visually appealing and delightful for both mum (or dad) and baby! My son has had this book since he was about 8weeks old and is now going on two and it is his absolute favorite book. So much that I am now having to purchase a 2nd one as with being read at least three times a day and carried about lovingly by a toddler it is now in abit of a state. Despite so many readings it hasnt become tiresome like most of my sons other board books. The art is classic Eric Carle, charming and bright and the story fun.Definetly a 5 star book for little ones!

Not as tactile as I hoped but a good little book

Arrived quickly, good quality, good value. This book is great it actually has a spider web that is tactile/touchable = starts off as a line and as each page turns the spider builds more of its web. Our two year old had no fear of spiders until unfortunately a relative got scared when they saw one. From that point on she would get upset whenever she saw one or a web. Since reading this book to her she now has actually stroked a few spiders in the garden. Still a bit wary of webs, though the other day she did go near one and very quickly touch the edge of one. It has a lovely story and I would recommend this book for any child.

Book is a bit grubby, has to get wet wipes and give it a clean. No rips or damage though. Took 2 weeks to arrive which is unacceptable. I think for an extra £3 I should have bought a new one instead and got it delivered next day. Lesson learned! The book itself is a good story for a toddler or first reader. Each page has a raised feature, which is the cobweb, gradually being spun by the spider. Kids can run their fingers over the page and feel the web, as it gets more and more intricate. My grandson loves it. Hope you found my review helpful

Great book! Love it!

My daughter is 1 and she loves to trace her finger over the spider's web. It keeps her attention during story time and it's a great book to learn the names of animals and the sounds they make. Great book to have in your child's library!

The size is perfect for a toddler

Esse livro é muito bom, além da gráfica, ensina sobre respeitar o outro quando não se pode algo ou está ocupado. Saber ouvir o não e dizer também. Meu filho ama esse livro.

Interactive, the spiderweb is a sensory ( we touch it all the time), talks about various other animals, working hard, and how important spiders are( helps alleviate fears)

The story is simplay about a spider spinning its web, and no matter what animal approached it to ask a question, it did not reply (repeatedly). My son asked why is the spider ignoring everyone, and I said probably because it is very busy, but it's rude to ignore others nonetheless.
