This is the Calcium bound HMB which is less readily absorbed than the free form and an adequate dose of 3g (4 servings as per their label) means 620mg of calcium intake which is over 50% of RDA. An adequate amount of magnesium is required to prevent health issues, an ideal ratio of Ca:Mg is 1.7-2.6.
