I purchased an HD tablet for my son, it was lagging fresh out the box eventually it was cracked so I file a claim through my insurance. They wanted me to pay to have it replaced but nowhere in my policy dose it state I would have to pay for a replacement even with insurance or sent the old on back. Its like Amazon makes a million excuses not to cover the device through insurance. I was better off not getting the insurance and just getting him a knew tablet.

This is a very good protection plan on my Amazon fire tablet. If anything happens to my tablet they will cover it. 2 year plan should take care of everything.

In the "details" it states a few things I've found to be false so far and wouldn't doubt if the entire plan is a scam.• Your Protection Plan will be delivered via e-mail within 24 hours• Cancel anytime, full refund in first 90 daysYour protection plan will NOT be delivered within 24 hours and you CANNOT cancel anytime. I've tried to cancel the order and also requested a refund. Until I receive the imaginary email containing this "protection plan" I cant get a refund. The email has been "shipped" and I'll receive it between the 9th and the 13th. Although the date I should receive it has changed twice already and keeps getting pushed back.Not to mention they don't respond to messages and amazon doesn't help either.

I purchased my first extended 2 YEAR ACCIDENT PROTECTION PLAN for my Fire HD 8 PLUS, 32GB and I'm so glad I did as about 6 months before the 2 year extended warranty was up my Kindle Fire HD 8 PLUS, 32GB started to dump everything I saved, i.e.passwords, bookmarks, email account, etc every time I logged out of my Amazon account.When I first contacted Amazon and told them I had lost all this information SEVERAL times they told me I had done a " Manual Reset/Reboot" which wiped everything clean and I had to start from scratch. I had to re-enter my email account and set it up again and all my other information. I told Amazon Tech Support I HAD NOT done a " Manual Reset/Reboot.". They didn't believe me.This went on for several months until late one night I had just finished in putting a lot of my information back into my Kindle Fire HD 8 PLUS, 32GB, AGAIN, and then signed out of Amazon account. I realized I had forgotten to do something and opened my Kindle Fire HD 8 PLUS 32GB back up. To my surprise, ALL the information I had just spent the last hour in putting was GONE.I put the information back into my Kindle Fire HD 8 PLUS 32 GB, SIGNED BACK INTO MY AMAZON ACCOUNT, and finished what I needed to do. Then I signed out of my Amazon account.Just for kicks I decided to go to another site on my Kindle that required me to sign in with my user name and password which I had just SAVED. The information was GONE!I went to my settings and checked my passwords and ALL of them were GONE! I went to my BOOKMARKS, and ALL of them were gone. I checked my EMAIL and it wad GONE and it said I needed to REGISTER MY KINDLE WITH AMAZON.It was then that I realized by signing IN and OUT of MY AMAZON ACCOUNT, it was causing my KINDLE FIRE HD 8 PLUS 32GB, to DUMP ALL OF MY SAVED INFORMATION.I immediately called Amazon Tech Support and told them what I had found. They logged in to my Kindle Fire HD 8 PLUS 32GB, and to their surprise they saw it happen right before their own eyes. They finally admitted I had NOT EVER done a "Manual Reset" on my Kindle Fire HD 8 PLUS 32 GB. The Tech said he had NEVER seen or heard of this before.Since I had the 2 YEAR ACCIDENT PROTECTION PLAN and it was still in affect for another 3 weeks the Tech said he would issue a replacement and a label to return the DEFECTIVE one.Within 5 days I had the replacement. To my dismay, when I opened the box, the box inside had a large grease mark on it as if someone had been eating pizza when they touched the box. I turned the Kindle Fire HD 8 PLUS, 32GB over and it had a sticker on it that said " REFURBISHED. "I was furious as I had purchased the 2 YEAR ACCIDENT PROTECTION PLAN for this very reason. I did not pay for a "Refurbished" model.I later learned the 2 YEAR ACCIDENT PROTECTION PLAN states they MAY REPLACE YOURS WITH A REFURBISHED ITEM of the SAME OR EQUAL VALUE. It's buried in the "FINE PRINT."I immediately called Amazon and much to my surprise they were gracious enough to give me a credit large enough to allow me to purchase a BRAND NEW 64GB, KINDLE Fire HD 8 PLUS 64GB, a Screen Protector, and another 2 YEAR ACCIDENT PROTECTION PLAN for my NEW Kindle Fire HD 8 PLUS 64GB. I was extremely pleased with the service I received from Amazon Customer Service and they informed me to just keep the "REFURBISHED" Kindle Fire HD 8 PLUS, 32 GB at NO CHARGE.After I finished all of this and ended the call I immediately ordered another Kindle Fire HD 8 PLUS, but with 64GB and added a Screen Protector and the 2 YEAR ACCIDENT PROTECTION PLAN to go with it. The cost for the 2YEAR ACCIDENT PROTECTION PLAN was $9.99 in December 2022.I received a confirmation email from Amazon of my purchases and I noted the DELIVERY DATE of my 2 YEAR ACCIDENT PROTECTION PLAN wasn't for another 7 to 10 days which I thought was very odd since the last one I had purchased and others I have purchased for other electronics was EMAILED TO ME within 48 hours. 30 days went by and I still had NOT received my 2 Year Accident Protection Plan. I tried to contact the Seller, however, there was a note which said since this was a product of AMAZON, I had to contact AMAZON, which I did.Amazon said they would contact the Seller and I should hear from the Seller within 48-72 HOURS. 1 WEEK later I had still heard nothing. I again emailed Amazon and heard nothing from them or the Seller. Finally almost 2 MONTHS LATER I CALLED AMAZON and spoke with someone in Customer Service who said they would submit my request for a Refund, but it could take up to a WEEK to get.I told the Customer Service Representative I wanted a confirmation email of our conversation which I did receive and I also wanted to REORDER the SAME 2 YEAR ACCIDENT PROTECTION PLAN I had originally ordered and didn't receive.She told me I would have to sigh in to my Amazon account and reorder it.Today, I just reordered it and found put the cost had risen by $3. It's not a lot, but it's the idea that because AMAZON DID NOT take care of the problem back at the BEGINNING of December 2022, it is now costing ME $3 more for this plan.I can only hope I get it this time.To all of you who are having problems with your Fire HD 8 PLUS 32GB dumping your information, IT IS A DEFECT!!!DO NOT LET AMAZON TELL YOU DIFFERENT.

Worked for me!
I have broken every tablet I ever bought. So this time I got the plan, and told myself to be more careful. A month after purchase it dropped into a pan of painting solvent. Surprisingly it still turned on, but the screen was almost DOA.Made the call and no hassles. I had proof of purchase in my history, but it was not an issue. So for once, insurance worked for me!

False information
I purchased this with my kindle Fire. The information gives the impression you will receive a new replacement, but are sent a reconditioned Fire. The information also states you will receive your replacement in 2 days, also incorrect, more like 8 days. The only plus is the original fire was accidentally dropped and the screen shattered, now I have a reconditioned Fire with an intact screen. Not what I was expecting since the representative said a new Fire would be sent.

Worth it.
My 7yo had her tablet all of 2 days when her sister dropped it and shattered the screen. I called the number, filed a claim and had a new tablet in the mail the same day.

did not receive
I waited on the phone over 35 mins on hold after letting a rep know i did not receive my plan before they disconnected the call. I've tried multiple days unsuccessfully with the chat that didn't have my specific issue as an option only to finally reach someone by a link to "receive a call". After explaining my simple issue that I needed my plan emailed to me I was put directly on hold until they disconnected the call after 35 mins and 32 seconds (no call back, no nothing).
