Gorilla Super Glue Gel, 15g – All Purpose, Fast Setting, No-Run Formula with Anti-Clog Cap | Ideal for Metal, Ceramics, Leather & More

Gorilla tape has been a staple of my hiking and camping kit for many years and I know how strong that stuff can be, so I decided to add some of this super glue gel to my bag. I've never been a big fan of superglue, I find it's always dried up when you need it and often is a nightmare to apply and not great on a whole range of materials. This glue hasn't disappointed like that though, I used it to repair a pair of walking boots which had started to split on the sole in places and the lower and mid soles were separating. I'd already bought some new boots but thought if they could be cheaply saved then they'd be a useful spare pair. The glue instructs you to shake well and this is really important, without shaking the glue is runny and doesn't work as well. After a good shake the glue is gel like and remains in place the consistency also meant it did a good job of getting into and filling the splits, initial tests seem to have the glue not letting water through now, I doubt the boots will be any good for prolonged submersion but they seem to be doing fine with splatter of water. Before glueing they were leaky in even light puddles. The glue is still sticky for a while after application, 5 minutes after applying I tried to put pressure on the sole by standing on carpet, this lead to lots of stuff becoming stuck to the sole. I've also used it on some dress shoes which were coming apart however it is worth baring in mind that the glue does dry clear it is noticeable upon close inspection. I've tried this on leather and rubber (and accidentally fingers) and have no doubt it would work on lots of materials. I can't comment on if it drys out or not as I only opened it a few days ago, however in that time the glue has strongly bonded my shoes and I imagine it will last for a long while.

I was actually disappointed with this purchase. A nice hand size easy to hold bottle with very little glue inside which makes using the product a nightmare. The glue is a no-run formula which is great, but with this in mind it does not flow easy therefore does not travel down the bottle to the anti-clog dispensing nozzle. It was indeed anti-clog as i found myself unscrewing the nozzle to gain access to the contents, which i tried to scoop out to use. Not ease of use i'm afraid. The glue itself dries clear and does stick well, however i gave up on trying to use it with the difficulty encountered in getting any out of the bottle.

I normally really like Gorilla products and I’ve used the brand before with great results, so I bought this expecting the usual reliability and convenience. However, this “Superglue Gel” is so thick that it simply won’t come out of the bottle. And I don’t mean “a bit hard to squeeze”, I mean it’s basically like trying to dispense a Haribo jelly sweet through a tiny nozzle. At this point it feels less like glue and more like a gummy bear that’s moved in and refuses to leave. I wanted a gel consistency so I could apply it neatly and with control, but I couldn’t even get enough out to use properly. I tried squeezing harder, warming it in my hands, shaking it… nothing. The bottle is practically full, but it’s unusable. What makes this especially disappointing is that Gorilla is genuinely a good brand and I expected better quality control. I wouldn’t mind paying a bit more for a product that works, but I can’t recommend something that can’t even be dispensed. Maybe I just got a bad batch, but based on this experience I’ll be avoiding this one and sticking to other Gorilla glues that actually behave like glue... not like sweets. Final note, I returned the whole thing to Amazon, as usual fantastic customer service and got a refunded without any problem.

Works really well and the gel idea is great for precise applications. Great price although there doesn't seem to be too much inside the bottle. Shake it really well and as they say, tap hard, lid down, to get the glue into the nozzle.

Hard to get the gel out and you do have to be careful with the amount used as too much and it does not stick, the pot also looks half empty or half full. Expensive for the amount you get .

I'm really impressed with this I've used super glue for years or never use it again this product is so much more superior
