Vallejo Diorama FX Acrylic Paint, Realistic Terrain Effects for Models, 200 ml, Simulates Water, Snow, Mud, and Ground Textures

Does what you'd expect... creates water effect. Needs to be built up in small layers, and is mostly for surface type effects not deep resin like pools. Good stuff though.

Have a look at the picture at what we were able to create with this product. Note that we painted the river blue, allowed it to dry and applied layers of the water resin. Give yourself 2-3 days as the product dries very slowly.

First time ive used water effects and I got this to fill a shell crater on a 1/35 diorama. The instructions say apply it in layers to a maximum of 3mm a layer.... I did read them and chose to ignore them.......Big Mistake! Filled my crater which had a diameter of about 6cm and I filled it about 10mm deep. After 3 days it was still not dry and had shrunk and cracked quite badly. Cursing my own pig headedness I scooped it out with an old spoon, touched up the base and restarted, this time following the instructions. This product does flow very well and looks decent after id added a couple of drops of brown acrylic paint. When pouring, pour SLOWLY, or you will get air bubbles.

Have just finished using the paint & i am very pleased with the result. Easy to apply i just used brushes & you can create you own sea effect, either waves or just ripples.You get a lot of paint for 200 ml tub it goes a long way, will use again & would recommend it for ease, effect, & colour.

A very good product which creates perfect still water results.

I had never used this type of product before but found it extremely easy to use to produce the desired effect. My N gauge lake looks very realistic however, it did require a second bottle to give the depth and appearance I wanted to achieve. As the instructions recommend building your water in layers this was not a problem. I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.

I have a few Woodland Scenics products and like them but the Realistic Water 473ml is pricey and I would not use all of it I wish they did a small bottle but they don't so I choose this product Vallejo 200ml this will be my first time to use this product so I will not write a review over something I never used it is enough for me to make a small pond and small lake for my Lemax so I give this product a five star for the price range and a band name.

I make scatter terrain for my table top role playing games and have tried all sorts of stuff for my 'wet' effects. This works great for pools of water and if you wait just before it sets, even moving water. I added some paint to some of it (acrylic) and made a pretty good looking swamp water effect as well. Easy to clean up too.

for the tiny bases of my battletech miniatures this stuff is awesome👌. works to keep everything looking wet. but like others have said. it spreads..a lot! takes time to dry and is hard to do deep water with an uncontrolled surface. also. I kinda noticed a similarly to vallejos other product, pouring medium. only this is very nice and clear!🙂 but the pouring medium does clear up after initial placement...🤔 I haven't used other vallejo water effects products but I've heard they are awesome too. I may have to try bx of this.
