Remington S9600 Silk Straightener with Advanced Silk Ceramic Coating - Red

I was looking for a new pair of straighteners and the S9600 Silk Straighteners from Remington really caught my eye when browsing online. Described as Remington’s fastest and hottest straightener, ideal for quick touch ups and controlling those stubborn strands I was sold. The package arrived ...... I was not to be disappointed as the Silk Straighteners look awesome! They are a really sleek with a cool colour that makes them look really professional compared to my current pair (self proclaimed top of the range not so hot BaByliss bought 4 years ago). The heat proof pouch that’s included is great as I often find myself having to rush out of the house before allowing them to cool properly and as I’m away often it’s also great for storing the straighteners in ones luggage. The hinge lock on the straighteners is clever, simply close the plates and flick the switch up and the plates are locked closed – easy to transport. My hair is quite thick so I do need a hot straightener and with a temperature of 235 degrees these straighteners really hit the mark, especially with a turbo boost which reaches 240 for those pesky stubborn kinks and whispy bits! The temperature control lock function is handy as you can rest assured you won’t accidentally change the temperature mid style! The longer length plates are also a god send! I can straighten my hair in half the time compared to using my current pair! The 3m cord is super handy as my plug socket is a bit far away from my mirror so that has also proved really helpful! The S9600 Silk Straighteners for Remington are by far the best straighteners I’ve ever used. Pros: Sleek and smooth styles, Personalised heat setting, Long-lasting results, Fast styling, Creating curls easy to pack.....need I say more?

As an ex hairdresser and a naturally curly hair woman I am always sceptical about reduced price straightners. They either tug on your hair, frizz it or just leave it looking a mess. When my GHDs broke (again) I read the reviews and decided to give these ago and I can honestly say they are fabulous!!! My hair is awkward and unless straightened properly will start to kink very quickly. Not however with these. My hair (medium thickness, highlighted and just last my shoulder blades) looks glossy and healthy whilst Millay importantly staying straight. The straightners are really easy to use and despite other reviews mentioning the buttons being awkward, I had no issues at all. They heat up quickly and beep when ready (talk less than a minute) and feel really light weight. The cable is a great length and my old straightners only just reached the mirror- these have plenty of length. Im so glad I bought them and would recommend them to anyone. Great value for money.

Great straighteners, heat up quite quickly, the quality feels professional, the display is of great help, the cord is thick and long and they come with a heat resistant pouch great for storing and traveling. However, after a year and a half of use (only once every one or two weeks) these straighteners stopped working. They are unable to maintain a temperature above 150C or to gain heat whatsoever. Please beware that there are several other buyers who suffered from the same issue so, if buying this product, don't forget to register it with Remington so you can make use of the warranty which seems to be quite good (thing that I forgot to do).

My wife has been using Remington straighteners for the last 7 years and really likes them, these are a improvement on the pearl due to using a rubber flex / power cord that does not seem to tangle or knot up with kinks with continued use as the old pvc flex did. I have to admit my wife really likes the adjustable temperature and the 5 year warranty if fantastic as truth be known when we use these around 2 times a day they do seem to develop a fault after 2 years! Not a major issue as Remington always send you a brand new pair when you return the old ones so to be honest these cost around £40 for 4 years use so in my book that is great value!!! For the record my wife had some GHD straighteners years ago and they did not last any longer and at the cost difference GHD are clearly not worth the extra.

These work great on my afro textured hair. I like the fact that the temperature can be adjusted. They came well packaged and in a timely fashion. The only problem was that the ceramic coating the plates can scratch off quite easily leaving the hot plate exposed. Overall, a good product.

Good product but pulls on my hair which is very fine so shouldn't be a problem. Have an old Remington which I prefer far better than this unfortunately!

I love these straighteners I have always used them until they was discontinued but I will say the universal plug that it comes with does not work so make sure you buy your own

Like many have mentioned I too have owned a pair of GHDs, these are MUCH better. I ability to change temp is something I don't know how I lived without before. It gets hair silky straight. I have afro Caribbean frizz fantastic type hair lol, and this gets my hair BONE STRAIGHT. On my extensions it also works a dream. It doesn't 'sizzle' my hair like my GHDs did and I also only need one pass to get hair looking great. Cord is also a great length. And originally I did want wider plates but these do the job on my long afro hair just fine and quickly . Absolutely love these, cant believe I was stupid enough to pay such ridiculous amounts before on my GHDs these are much better and a fraction of the price

Je trouve que le lisseur est rapide à chauffer. Cependant, il est plus petit que les autres lisseurs de la marque. Mon lisseur remington pearl ayant fait son temps j'ai voulu essayer un autre lisseur mais tout en restant chez eux. Plus petit, chauffe vite, la température monte jusqu'à 140°C, câble assez long à mon goût. Ayant essayé plusieurs lisseur de marques concurrentes, la marque remington est pour moi la meilleur concernant les lisseurs.

Liscia i capelli alla perfezione, porto un caschetto e questa piastra è perfetta, poi è bellissimo anche il colore la consiglio, compratela!!!

La compre hace 3 años más o menos creo, mi madre tiene la misma de hace 10 años y no falla, buena calidad, se mantiene muy bien con el tiempo.
