Attention to detail
Long story short, needed a replacement pump ET60a and searched Amazon, ET60 was the nearest option I could find with the same specifications so I ordered the pump and booked an electrician to fit it. It turned out that the ‘a’ represents Alarm. After exchanging messages with the seller it seems I have ordered the wrong pump which is now installed, minus an alarm and cannot be exchanged. I am no wiser as to the reason why the alarm didn’t sound? the visual alarm ‘beacon’ would not have been visible without lifting the lid and still wasn’t visible when examined, or why I couldn’t find the pump with an alarm in the search. The positive is this is a very quiet pump and should give me a few years service.
