This the third pump/filter I have purchased. First one worked a dream, Second one unfortunately the pump would not throw. (Got no idea why) third one fitted into tank within minutes and works perfectly. With the added UV light I fully expect fish tanktwo will soon have as good quality water as tank one.

More cheap Chinese rubbish - worked ok for a couple of months then began to fail - The flow reduced and reduced ( I suspect the motor was degrading) wouldn't clear the water, had poor filtration and clogged up very easily. I would take it out, take it apart and clean the filters (not easy to do either) - it is then hellishly difficult to re-assemble and align. I bought this in July - by December it had packed up completely, the propeller on the motor was sticking and even if I could coax it to work the flow was so poor my water was becoming dirty very quickly - One of my best fish died as a result afetr it finally broke altogether and i was waiting for a new pump to arrive. Certainly not worth anywhere near what I paid for it. Buying a new pump every 6 months isnt my idea of value for money.

Love this one. I was using a standard one that came with the tank when I purchased it but I’ve got two panda orandas and two calico ranchus which need better filtration in my 80L tank. This filter cleaned up all the algae and murky water in less than 8 hours. Heaven compared to my old one with no noise at all. Only thing is my aeration tube doesn’t seem to work and not sure if I’m doing it wrong or right but I installed it as shown in the picture and left one side outside the aquarium and one attached to the top of the filter but still doesn’t work. If someone could tell me if I’m doing anything wrong that’d be great. Thanks . Great product

Great product, I'm currently building a planted tank but had problems in my other tank so bought this to prevent those problems from happening in this one. 1st photo is after setting everything up before it got late, 2nd photo is the next morning and 3rd is after running it once I'd planted everything. It does 1 full cycle about every 12 minutes in my 105l tank. Depending on your tank this may or may not be a nessasary piece of equipment. In my case it's not but will serve to be useful still for my needs, because of the set up I am going for ill only be running this for an average or 6-12 hours a day. Chemical balance has been instantly perfect with this and assumed my ammonia levels would have been higher too, maybe it has helped if the uv is strong enough, but to bring the levels to 0 and to let my plants thrive I'm leaving it off for about a week. Any issues arise I will update my review at a later date.

I have a 240L juwel rio that was suffering a bacterial and algae bloom. Ive had this running for 6 days now in tandem with the stock internal filter. The pictures speak for themselves. The pump was whisper quiet on day 1, day 2 there was abit of a hum, still humming, but i dont think any filters are truely silent. Took 5 mins to set up. Just dump it in, plug it in and switch it on. Genuinely impressed with the results. I knew it was underated for the size of my tank, but for the price i thought id give it a go and i am glad i did!

Filter is okay. When it works it’s very good, as good power, pressure and filters really well. I’ve noticed it regularly looses power/pressure multiple times a day. The filter can be quite hard to clip together, and the rainfall feature is very stiff and had gotten jammed a lot of the times. Can’t say I will be buying again when it comes to getting another filter.

Green water of my aquarium turned to clear water in about 7 to 10 days. Initially progress was slow and once I removed the filter sponge inside the plastic filter compartment (as I have another non UV filter with filter sponge) then the process of green water becoming clear water was faster. Fits well on the glass surface of the tank.

After a month it's completely stopped working. I do not recommend this product.
