Little beauty
We bought this pump for a water feature for my elderly parent's and to be honest my husband was not optimistic on how good it would be! It is fantastic our little water tub is not big enough to accommodate, as soon as we took the packaging off the pump started working, swiftly it was covered up and placed in the water. We have had to turn the panel away from direct sun light as the fountain was reaching at least 2 feet. We took some of the pipes off to just get a smaller fountain. If you want an effective water feature at little cost I would highly recommend.

Great Little Solar Fountain
This fountain is just brilliant. Obviously it only works when the sun is shining but it really works (and when the sun is not shining we don't sit out and so don't really care that fountain is asleep). When the Sun is bright the fountain reaches at least 21/2 to 3 ft in the air and since we have just a small round pond, really just a pretty little water feature, we have to turn the panel to lessen the sunlight reaching it so that the fountain only travels about a foot high. I think it would be OK in most garden ponds but obviously if the pond is deep you would have to place a large rock with a flat surface or some other platform so that the fountain head pokes above the water. Really pleased that we bought this.

Good value solar water fountain.
This water fountain adds a nice feature to my "pond in a pot." It comes with a few different heads to vary the spray. It also helps to aerate the water and keeps it clean. I would have given it 5 stars if it had included a solar light type stake, so that I could mount it on the fence. The panel needs to be high up for greater exposure to direct sunlight. With a bit of problem-solving, I eventually mounted the panel using 2 curtain pole fixings ( see photo). The pump doesn't have a battery and the fountain stops working if the sun is obscured by clouds. That said, I am very pleased with this item.

amazing staying power
I ordered this 3 years ago, for 2 years my pond was nice then it become overgrown and i forgot about the pump. 1 year on i decided to clean the pond and found fountain under weeds and the solar panel under a inch of turf. Clean them up and they still worked. Now thats good.

Great Value
Terrific Value and it works so well the only criticism how to anchor it doing a swan lake drifting from side to side so eloquently , but I will need to keep refilling bird bath(daily)as the spray head throws out too much water.I am currently trying different methods to anchor it in the middle...But it is a product one would expect to pay more for and still be worth it as it so well made and easy to install

Not very good!!!
Was working great on my little fry pond tub. That I use Solar power to pump water out of the pond into the tub. Then back into the pond as a water change. Was working great for about two days and I was very impressed with it. Was working when there was hardly any sun out. But it stopped working now. Tried fixing it. But had no luck. So put my old one back that works fine but not that powerful to work in low sun. Shame as it was working great at first.

Cheap but works very well! (Needs sunshine obviously)
Didn't think this would be that good as the price was so low. But thought I'd check it out. I lined a wood planter with some black PVC pond liner. Then fixed this pump to he bottom and filled with water. It needs propped sun for it to work, so I waited a few days then when the sun was out it worked beautifully. Added some fake Lilly's to the equation and now I have a very cheap water feature. Sounds nice!

Hmm, its ok for the price but only works ...
Hmm, its ok for the price but only works effectively when in FULL sun, the minute a cloud passes over it stops immediately. I would go for a more expensive model for constant fountain. It does however come with 3 different spray attachments which add both attractive pattern and gentle noise.
