if you're looking for quality without spending much money....
The thickness and the feel of the paper is incredible, especially for the price. I used gel pens, biro, felt tips, some light acrylic paint, various glues and none of it bled onto the next page. Also fits pretty well into the average sized shoulder bag and tote so it's very convenient to carry around.

A Professional-Feeling Sketchbook With Thick Paper That Handles Ink Well
This sketchbook is ideal for anyone who wants a reliable, no-nonsense book with proper heavyweight pages. The casebound design feels professional and sturdy, and the black cover has a clean, minimalist look. Inside, the paper is thick enough to handle a range of media — I’ve used pencil, fineliners, and water-based markers without any bleeding or buckling. What I really like is the texture of the paper — it has just the right amount of tooth for sketching, but not so rough that it drags ink. Pages lie relatively flat when open, which is good for double-page spreads. For the price, the quality is spot on. It’s my go-to now for quick studies and longer pieces. I’ll definitely pick up another when this one’s full.

Really wonderful sketchbook for the price!
I recently bought this sketchbook after my watercolour pad fell apart (oops) and I wanted something much more sturdy that I could track my progress in. The book is really sturdy and well made. The pages are thick but smooth there's no tooth to them. This is really helpful for pencil sketches and details. The cover is really sturdy and the pages are bound really well they won't fall out after significant use. I've tried a few different mediums in this and I can say that it doesn't take alcohol markers too well. My ohuhu markers bled through and even marked the page beneath as you can see in the pictures. This doesn't bother me too much as the markers come with a plastic slip I can use in future to stop any bleeding. The paper does work well for pencil sketching and also using gouache paint (My preferred medium) I haven't tried watercolour yet on this paper so can't comment on that. I have also used posca acrylic paint pens on it and it works fine but if you go over the same area a few times it will begin to rip the paper and make little crumbs. Over all this sketchbook works really well for what I want and is a great price and I would recommend it to those who primarily use pencil, gouache or any other type of thicker paint such as acrylic.

Fantastic Sketching pad. Good quality
This is now my go to purchase when I want a new pad. I use the square format and love it. The paper is good quality, smooth and thick enough for what I use it for. I mainly work in pencil and inks but I have used watercolour, watercolour pencils, Gouache and a little acrylics. I have had no problems with the pages, tiny bit of buckling if you overload the watercolours but that was with the pencils rather then the watercolour pots. So applying water to watercolour pencils afterwards. Some tiny buckling but nothing major. A fantastic pad, I use them for sketching and working out ideas before moving onto larger pieces and have also started using them as visual diaries too. Highly recommend buying one to see if you like it and I really think you won’t regret it. Solid pad at a very reasonable price. Will be making multiple purchase. Some people commented on the barcode sticker being on the cover. I never had a problem with this as it’s not affecting the actual product. If you do want rid of it simply put a brown piece of paper or envelope over it and run an iron across it to melt the glue. Should come off fine.

Perfect for drawing!
Probably one of the best sketchbooks I’ve had. The paper quality is thick, the size is good for carrying around and there’s so many pages it’s great. It’s a book you can just stick away and not have to worry because its hardback is forgiving. Really nice texture, you can tell it’s a bit more expensive than usual for the paper and all of my pencils look great on it so the functionality is definitely up there.

Lovely sketchbooks
Love these sketchbooks, I use a number of sizes and formats. Good for watercolour, pen, ink, pencils. The paper is good quality and a nice weight, they have sturdy covers and are good for studio or working on site. Good value for money.

I tend to be pretty mixed media when it comes to sketchbooks, I'll use markers, pencils, inks, all that good stuff! I bought this sketchbook because I was looking for a square format with a hardcover that wasn't too expensive. I love hardcover sketchbooks cause they're Moe comfortable for me to work with. Considering the price, I didn't think the paper would be as thick as it was! It's held almost everything I've tried (besides alcohol markers but what's new?). Ink wash doesn't bleed through (although if adding too much water, it can tear up), brush pens don't feather as much (really depends on the brand), and I just loved sketching with pencils and colored pencils! I have yet to try watercolor and gouache, but maybe in the future I'll look into it... Overall I love this and even bought a second one (I'm debating a third considering how fast I've filled these up). I'd recommend it as a just for fun sketchbook!

My daughter is quite the sketcher and flew through this book, filling it up fast, but it’s perfect for tucking in a bag or sitting on the couch to sketch. The pages are sturdy, as is the cover, and it’s great.
