Coffee shops beware!
I discovered years ago the speed and convenience of Nespresso machines, and the wonderful coffee they make. But until now I've put up with a primitive stove top maker, assuming that convenience comes at a (prohibitive) price! The luxury branding as a premium, top-end product reinforced this impression, and for years I've set aside 5 minutes each morning for a routine which ends in washing coffee grounds from my hands. Then a few weeks ago an accountant friend who is obsessively careful with his own money, dropped into a lunchtime conversation that he had bought himself a Nespresso machine, and was now saving money hand over fist by spending less in coffee shops. Our highly paid IT contractor friend and I protested in a superior manner that our stove tops were cheaper to run, representing a more traditional and somehow "purer" approach to making coffee. But the seeds of doubt were sown. By coincidence shortly after that conversation I spent four nights in a hotel in which Nespresso machines and a small range of free capsules were provided to guests. The penny soon dropped that - although Nespresso coffee is twice as expensive by weight as the best ground coffee sold loose in supermarkets, the machines are so efficient that only half the coffee is required for the same strength as a cup from a stove top. And highly-reviewed reusable steel capsules available on Amazon give Nespresso owners the freedom to use loose coffee in any case! Anyway, back to the Lattissima Touch... Not sure if other reviewers have mentioned it but the machine is made in Italy, where manufacturing standards are amazingly high nowadays. Apart from the satisfaction of buying a European-made product, the design and build quality of this one are simply awesome. It is such a great feature to be able to remove the milk container from the front of the machine straight to the fridge, without even pressing a button. The machine is stylish, fuss-free, works beautifully and is great value. It also has the immense advantage over perhaps every other machime in this price range of making a cappuccino or lungo with a single button press. I simply can't fault it. Sampling the 16 different capsules is also huge fun, and they are all flavoursome and diverse - I expect to be placing copious orders in the coming year!

Best machine I've owned, easy to use and clean, delicious coffee
Firstly, the packaging is outstanding, easy to open, easy to lift the machine out the box, easy to setup, if you get one you'll understand what I'm on about. Started out on a high note, that's why I mention it. Setup was easy, just read the first few pages of the manual, test your water with the included tester, flush it, your done. Now I am a decaf drinker, even for us poor souls, lol, there are four different varieties of official Nespresso capsules, way more than other machines, not to mention lots more compatible capsules from other manufacturers. For regular coffee drinkers there are lots, lots more. The machine comes with I think 18 different pods included. Handy for me when friends visit. I also ordered all four types of decaf from a supplier on Amazon and a stand to keep them in. I tried the decaf Lungo and right away my first words were, "OMG, That's a good coffee", I can see me knocking a few of those back during the day, delicious. The other three were just as good and of varying intensity. Delicious. Now for the milk frother, finally!!!, someone has mastered no mess froth. The froth was thick and the milk hot and delicious, exactly what I'd hoped for and a million miles away from my previous Senseo Latte Select machine. Super easy to clean, just one button push. Your ready for the next cup. The jug is easy to fit and remove and it fits in the fridge drawer. It does need a full clean every two days by hand or in the top shelf of the dishwasher. Easy peasy, I got the latte I was expecting with very little noise compared to the steam whistle of my old machine, lol. Early days, but I'm loving it's looks, simplicity, ease of cleaning, six coffee styles and above all the taste and quality over my old Senseo and my Tassimo, this is definitely better than both.

Too much hassle to get a latte
I love my Starbucks and Costa latte's and thought this would be the answer to creating a similar drink at home. I have previously owned a Dolce Gusto but didn't like the milk pod approach. The machine has three main faults in my eyes: - This is mentioned all over the internet but the drink is just not warm enough. My workaround was to preheat the mug with boiling water, preheat the coffee process with two blank Lungo shots and preheat the milk side with two milk cleans. Seems to help a bit. - The milk texture control is useless. You know that feeling at a coffee shop when you are handed your large drink and the cup feels light because it's full of froth, well unfortunately that is what this machine delivers. My workaround was to to dispense my drink, spoon off about half a cup worth of foam then re-dispense more milk. - The third fault is the cleaning process. You will be forever dismantling the milk jug and cleaning it. I also found that after just a few dishwasher cycles, the components didn't go back together as well as originally. I would question the long term robustness of the milk side of things. The whole process to get my ideal latte was just too convoluted for me and I returned it after a month for a full refund. Great customer service from Amazon by the way. The actual Nespresso coffee impressed me so much that I have subsequently purchased a Creatista Plus by Sage. Good discounts are about and the machine is superb. You can customise temperature and milk froth to your hearts delight. The cleaning of the machine is also just a quick wipe of the steam wand and a rinse of the stainless milk jug. My latte sorted.

Fresh milk Lattes and Cappuccinos at the touch of a button
Coffee, the sweet, magical drink that keeps us going at the hardest of times, right now it's 3am and this machine hands down is keeping me going on a late shift. This for me is an upgrade from my Bosch Tassimo that I've had for over 3 years. The setup seems a little daunting when you first read the manual, easy way round this is to watch the De'Longhi videos on YouTube, Makes it much easier to get going. The machine allows customization of the drinks, so you can make them as strong, weak or as big as you want - there is an auto cut off that you can't override unfortunately so you can't make Starbucks / Costa sized drinks, these are meant to be smaller Mediterranean coffees that tend to be smaller and more intense. The machine has a milk frother, it's very easy to setup and works with skimmed milk. It's all dishwasher safe so cleaning it every few days is simple. The frother detaches so you can store it in the fridge after use. After each use you will find yourself having to clean the frother's spout, this is done by holding down a button on the frother itself - it's hardly a deal breaker, but a little annoying for a £200 machine. The coffee pods are inserted under the large chrome metal top, this simply lifts up and you drop the pod in to the pod sized slot. After use you open this up again and the used pod is auto ejected into the bin bellow - a nice feature not having to handle hot pods. The coffee pods themselves are solid foil, just you get a sample pack of 16 in the box, and you also get free credit in the Nespresso store, giving you 3 lots of £20 credit. This, as you may find out, is so when you add p&p you pay a tiny amount (I got 50 of the capsules for £1 - not too bad). I've given it 4 stars as there are a few little niggles that just annoy me, not being able to have massive, heart palpitation inducing sized drinks for one, it's not so much I want them, it's just being told you cant have them. I've paid for the machine, I want to be able to tell it what to do. The frother cleaning could be a little more automated. The machine can produce quite lukewarm drinks if you don't turn it on a few seconds / minutes before first usage. Upgrading from a Tassimo I cannot tell you the difference in the taste, the coffee is richer, with a smoother taste, the milk is obviously fresh but the froth it produces is thicker and creamier - to make sure it wasn't just a placebo effect me and the wife blind tasted the lattes each machine produces and confirmed this The ease of use and cleaning is much simpler than the Tassimo as well, if you're a serious coffee nerd but want the convince of a pod system and the ease of use and cleaning that come with it, this is definitely the machine for you, if you can justify the high price.

My favourite kitchen gadget.
Chose this machine due to the real milk function as I only drink lattes and milk capsules in other machines don't live up to expectations. Out of the box the machine requires minimal set up, the manual recommends you dishwasher the milk container before use. The fact that it is dishwasher safe is great and makes cleaning easy. I throw it in every couple of days and keep it in the fridge the rest of the time. The machine comes with three preset espresso sizes and three options for latte, cappuccino and steamed/frothed milk. All selected by one touch buttons. All six options can be customised to your cup/mug size and espresso to milk ratio. This is done easily by simply holding the touch button on and releasing to stop milk flow, then repeating the same for coffee. The machine then remembers this for next time. Milk froth density is controlled by an analogue dial on the milk container. The top compartment beneath the spout catches used pods neatly and holds about 8 before it needs emptying. There is a drip catcher with reservoir which pulls out and sits under the spout but this is only useful for small cups, it has to be slid back in to accommodate a large mug. In this case there is still a shallow drip catcher without much capacity. The machine is sold with a selection of capsules to try and you are often able to get a good introductory offer when joining the 'Nespresso Club,' I, for example got £75 worth of credit for replacement pods, which was released in three instalments after each order. The service is efficient and cheaper than other outlets and there is also a pod recycling option where they will collect your used pods. All in all I am very happy with the machine and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again. Photo shows the Lattisima sat on top of a 3rd party capsule storage drawer.

Excellent Nespresso Maker - Great Buy
I changed from a 9 year old Krups Nespresso to the Delonghi (My Krups never broke down or had any issues so a lot to live up to for the Delonghi). I read the reviews and really wanted the added milk dispenser and the price offered by Amazon was incredible compared to the rrp or Nespresso price. It is quick and efficient, lovely at making latte or cappuccino. Not as loud as the Krups but I feel made with the safe build quality that Krups is known for. The buttons are sensitive so you don't have to be heavy fingered to operate it. The power button is on the top but more difficult to see in poor light, I have to feel for it but its a different type of button so there is never a mistake. The water reservoir is about the same as all the other models I believe located at the back which isn't as easy to carry with no handle but this shouldn't put you off The right temperature to drink, and not cool or cold as some reviews may say Can store the milk in the fridge and ready to reuse when ever needed I like the automatic switch off facility My wife likes having warm milk with the froth before going to bed so just being able to do this is great - The only down side I can think of is that if two of you like latte it takes only two cups to almost empty the milk container so you need to refill this more often than I would like, but I'm lazy, again this is not a fault just a comment. Have used this since it arrived (8+ cups per day) and have gone through a lot of milk as we are constantly using the new delonghi, don't really know why we didn't change a long time ago, thats how happy and impressed we are.

Poor quality product that wouldn't last a year.
Ok my honest review of this product is not very good, this is due to the second machine failing after a couple of months. The first one had a problem with the milk dispenser bottom that kept falling off. The second machine had an issue with a couple of things with the milk dispenser that were very frustrating. First thing was the machine would just stop therefore you could not get a full cup off Latte. The consistency was also questionable as the level varied on some cups of coffee. Finally the machine decided to just deliver steam instead of milk !!! So the product does not fair well when used daily so bear that in mind.

Overall good machine until it malfunctions.
Overall it was a good machine until it started malfunctioning. I have used this machine for 19 months and it may be the right time to change the machine. Pros 1. Easy to set the amount of water/coffee dispensed on buttons. There are 6 buttons and I am not sure whether the milk frother related functions can be adjusted. But it is very easy to set on the left side buttons to adjust the amount of water/coffee. Once it is set to appropriate amount to your perfect taste, it will make the same coffee each and every time you touch the button. Pros 2. Quick and easy to use. Cons 1. : The milk frother is very difficult to clean. Many components to disassemble and the structure is a bit complecated. So, even if I put them in my dish washer, I was worried whether it would be properly cleaned or not. I tried just a few times then I never used it for milk. Cons 2. About the milk frother again. It works so fast but it does not make thick foam. If the cappuccino is left on the table for 2 min, almost all form will go away. Also the milk is not very tasty comparing to other milk frother machines. So, I have been using a separate milk frother from another Nespresso machine. Cons 3. The cleaning function is also a bit of headache. It requires 3 steps to clean the limescale and the procedure must be followed to turn off the annoying cleaning indication lamp. It takes a bit long and someone must be in front of the machine waiting for the next step light. If the button is not pressed within certain period of time, the machine will automatically go into power saving mode and the cleaning procedure must start from the scratch. Even with the cons mentioned above, I loved this machine and wanted to use for long term. However, it started malfunctioning from a few days ago. It does not produce correct amount of coffee. I know that there is a factory default function to reset all manual settings. So, the preset amount can be deleted and it produces the standard amount set by the factory. In my case, each and every time, it produces different amount even though I use the same button. Sometimes it cannot pierce the capsule, then, no coffee is dispensed. It makes me to think that somewhere in the pressure related part is malfunctioning.
