Not bad for the money, good lock.
The packaging for this is a strong slim cardboard box that protects the item perfectly. Note that this cable is designed only for specific Dell laptops/tablets with a wedge lock slot, so check compatibility on the Dell website. This is a simple keyed lock that is simple to set up. The lock is a strong design and will survive any normal attempt to break it, short of industrial equipment. The much more likely target is the cable itself, which is thin and easy to remove with bolt cutters. Therefore this is not going to be useful anywhere that someone can carry that tool in and do the business unnoticed. I would certainly not secure a high-value (i.e. £500+) product with this sort of cable. The current price of only £22 is not too high, which makes a change for Kensington products. I would pay a maximum of £25 for this cable. Overall this is a good quality simple lock for securing low-value/old laptops.

Solid and well made
This product is very well made and looks very secure. Will deter casual attempts to remove unless the thief has bolt-cutters or a saw to cut through the table it is attached to!

This is not a N17 type lock! - and you have to pay for the return postage!
This is plainly not a N17 type lock - and then you find out you have to pay for the return postage... sounds like a scam to earn money over the postage of refundable items to me... I'm not happy - and nor is my laptop - as it it needs to be secured... And now the item has been 'down costed' to £10 on my return notice - but this cost me originally £26... I will be taking this up with Amazon directly...

Company required me to use a cable lock with my work laptop, picked this one due to it using a key and having a relatively slim profile. Was a little intimidated by some of the reviews here, but if you read the manual / know to unlock it before trying to pop it in the hole, there's not much that can go wrong. Cable is perhaps a bit overly robust, but that's not really anything to complain about for a security device.

Perfecto, cumple con su funcion perfectamente. Es bastante largo lo puedo atara a la mesa sin problemas. Trae 2 llaves por si se te pierde alguna. En general estoy contento con la compra.

Testé avec un netbook DELL XPS 13 Ayant eu besoin de racheter un câble parce que - visiblement - DELL a décidé de changer les connecteurs antivols sur ses PCs (merci pour l'obsolescence) j'ai choisi ce câble car c'est un Kensington et qu'il était en promo (38€ au lieu de 64€). C'est quand même onéreux pour un câble mais je n'ai pas trouvé mieux en qualité/prix avec le connecteur "wedge" (les câbles compatibles wedge ont tendance à être plus cher...) C'est un câble visiblement de très bonne facture (qualité Kensington) et la tête pivotante est vraiment pratique pour pouvoir utiliser le PC verrouillé (sur les XPS 13 il y a un port usbc juste à côté de l'emplacement du verrou). Ce produit étant plus épais que mon précédent câble, il est aussi davantage rigide (peut être trop ?) mais on arrive quand même à l'enrouler pour le faire entrer dans une sacoche ou un sac à dos donc ça me convient. Vous aurez la possibilité d'enregistrer le produit chez Kensington pour avoir du support.
