Weleda Skin Food, 30ml

My little girl suffers from eczema, leaving her skin red, itchy and sore. She put some Weleda skin food in a hanky and tied it onto the affected area when she went to bed at night. A few weeks later, eczema gone. Her skin is soft and smooth. What's more the cream has a lovely rosemary oil scent. Be aware it does contain lanolin (my wife is allergic to this) and is not cheap, but it is very good.

This was recommended to me by a very popular, celebrity make up artist after I had a chat with her about problems with other moisturizers. It is very thick, a bit like the texture of sudocrem...without the whiteness! It works like a dream, my skin loves it. I've bought more because I like it so much. You can use it anywhere too, it's not just for the face.

Great product for dry skin, hands feel lovely and soft!

Very rich moisturising and nourishing day and night cream. I use it on rough, dry skin on the body; hands, elbows, knees but not on my face as its too rich. It would be ideal as a protective cream in harsh weather or outdoors in winter. Contains extracts of soothing chamomile, calendula, wild pansy and a blend of enriching oils and waxes to provide a fine protective barrier against wind and weather. Lanolin, Almond oil and Peanut oil are three of the main ingredients of the base. Lanolin, chemically, is almost identical to sebum, the natural oil produced by the skin. It is therefore an ideal substance to ‘feed’ to dry skin. Both Almond and Peanut oil soften and soothe the skin and also assist in the penetration of other soothing, rejuvenating ingredients. Weleda Skin Food can be used as a nourishing day and night cream. It is good for rough, dry skin anywhere on the body; face, hands, elbows, knees etc. It can be used as a protective cream in harsh weather and is excellent for anyone regularly out of doors. Directions for use: Apply sparingly as required. Gently smooth into the skin. On the face avoid area around the eyes. Intensive care for hard working hands: apply liberally, cover with cotton gloves and leave overnight. Weleda Skin Food is suitable for vegetarians.

I used this on my lips after watching a dermatologist on U Tube. She used this one instead of the specific lip one that Weleda does. My lips have not been dry, they feel plump and nourished. Lovely product, would definitely recommend.

I don't have dry skin but I do have dehydrated. Thick creams don't help me and the hydration ones are ok but the good ones are priced like origins. I've found this 3 times a week is better than any origins or Clinique. No good for under make up base this is the one to pop on before bed. Ps also notice my skin looks so much better and I'm 40. I'll be a regular purchaser.

Made the mistake of not checking the weight and instead assumed it was the same as my usual tube from the high street. In fact it's much smaller despite being the same price. Plus it took ages to arrive. Not good.

The bottle had been damaged which meant that it leaked and ended up throwing it away. The cream was good quality though.

This is the best lotion for dry/ chapped skin.

So far I have really enjoyed using this cream. The brand quality of Weleda is something I've always trusted, and this cream is no exception. I love that it uses flower and fruit extracts, which make it smell amazing! Plus, the plant oils really nourish my skin, leaving it smooth and soft. Definitely a must-have in my skincare routine.
