Always a great, reliable hair colour for a home box dye solution...
Always a brilliant hair colour; I do try and stay away from box dyes as much as I can, but if I need to touch up my roots or freshen it up inbetween appointments, this is always the product I'd go to. Easy to apply, the instructions are very straightforward and easy to follow, the application is always smooth with full coverage, and the moose consistency makes it easier to massage in and make sure every single hair is coated. The colour is a little bit darker, as expected, than pictured on the box, but I do tend to find that with most hair colour anyway.

Beautiful, Natural-Looking Blonde with Easy Application!
I recently used John Frieda Sheer Blonde Precision Foam Colour in 7G Dark Golden Blonde, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results! The foam formula makes application super easy—no drips, no mess, and it evenly covers every strand, even in hard-to-reach areas. The color turned out gorgeous, giving me a rich, golden blonde that looks natural and vibrant. It also provides 100% grey coverage, which was a huge plus for me. My hair feels soft and healthy after coloring, with a lovely shine that lasts. Unlike some other dyes, this one doesn’t have a strong chemical smell, and the included conditioner leaves hair silky and smooth. If you're looking for salon-quality color at home, this is a fantastic choice! Highly recommend for anyone wanting a natural-looking blonde with long-lasting results!

Really impressed!
This is the first time I've used this brand and this foam type of home dye. I usually use the liquid type. Compared with other dyes, this is easier to mix, easier to apply and easier to clean up. I'm usually very messy but this dye truly didn't drip. It came off the skin really easily despite me not using the barrier cream it recommended, and it came off my sink without even scrubbing. It smelled a bit like wet dog when I washed it off but the smell soon went once I'd put my serum on. I haven't done a second wash so can't comment on how well it sticks but I've already noticed that it's fully covered my greys whereas with previous dyes I've still been able to spot where they were.

Review from a man
I am a 30 year old man and I've had grey hairs since I was a teenager. I have medium length dark brown hair and about 20% of it is white. The grey hairs are very noticeable in the light of day and it was bothering me a lot, especially if someone commented on it or I caught sight of my reflection in a mirror. I first tried some other methods (greying shampoo, mustard oil, the black tea method) with zero results, so I figured it was time to go down the dye route. I found this product by googling "easy to use hair dye". When I first opened the box, the contents were not too intimidating: there was just a bottle with liquid already in it, another small bottle of colorant, some post-dye conditioner, and a bottle attachment to dispense the dye. There was also a pair of black gloves and these were FAR too small for me, so I just didn't use them. I didn't notice any adverse effect on my skin as a result of forgoing them. I emptied the colorant into the bottle and turned it gently 5 times as instructed. Then I took my shirt off, stood in front of a mirror and squeezed the bottle into my hand. True enough, a satisfyingly large blob of foam was produced and I began the process of applying it to my hair. One thing that I immediately liked about the dye was that it did not have a strong smell. I had been told before that some hair dyes have a strong feminine smell to them and this was a concern of mine. This one was reassuringly odorless more or less. It took about 4-5 minutes to completely saturate my hair with the foam. At this point I noticed there were dark patches all over my face where I had accidentally got some of the foam on to my skin, and I was a little alarmed. Here's when the fun stopped: the instructions advised to leave the foam in your hair for 30 minutes for full coverage, but within about 5 minutes my whole scalp felt like it was on fire. It was honestly one of the most uncomfortable things I'd ever felt. After 20 minutes it became unbearable. At about the 25 minute mark I was racing to the shower. To my relief, the sensation stopped as soon as I rinsed all the foam out under the shower. I showered as normal, avoiding putting soap on my hair like I usually do, and instead using the conditioner as instructed. When I stepped out of the shower I was actually very pleased with the results. The dark patches on my skin that alarmed me earlier had been washed away. My hair appeared to be it's regular color but more vibrant, and all the greys were completely gone. I asked my wife (who believe me, is always honest with me) and she told me it didn't look like a dye job. Overall I was very happy with the result, especially as a first timer to hair dyeing. To summarise: Pros: Odorless, very easy to apply (even I can do it), dark stains on skin wash away Cons: Waiting period VERY uncomfortable, not cheap to purchase Overall, I think I'd recommend this product, especially to any men who might be reading or people who are inexperienced with hair dye in general.

Best home hair dye ever
My favourite hair dye .. it's a foam and is easy to apply , there always seems plenty to use on my hair that's past my shoulders ..it gives a lovely glossy even colour , and doesn't seem to bleed as much as other dyes. . I've no idea why I can't buy it in most shops anymore , glad it's available on Amazon ..

Exceptional hair dye 👍❤
Just WOW!! First of all I'd like to mention this is a long review but I can't help that as it's a fantastic product! I have been dying my hair since I was 19 and now I'm 32 I have also never used john freida as I've always looked for a fairly cheap product due to the fact I'm tight lol and how wrong was i 😮. With all this corona pandemic going on and being stuck indoors ect I had greys taking up the most part of the front of my head (embarrassingly) so I looked on amazon for a delivery but literally ALL the cheaper brands where sold out (go figure) seems we also have a grey pandemic going on 🤷♀️ anyway there where many 1 or 2 cheapish hair dyes that where around £6.99 each but delivery wasn't for like over a month, that's no good as I'll look like a snow yeti by then, then i see John Freida in my colour (light natural brown) and got all excited as I have prime and even with the delivery situation over the corona virus it would still be delivered in 3 days (result). Well todays the day and I was impressed from the get go, as soon as I unboxed it the tubs are a considerable size bigger then the cheaper brands (Live) (Garnier) ect including the hair conditioner which is very important to me as my hair is down to my hips so I need all the conditioner I can get. So I mix it up and begin to think I haven't got enough as I only ordered two boxes but considering it's a foam I was knocked off my feet when it just slid right over my hair and absorbed it's way it, it was that easy I swear! No tangles or knots which I have always had with other hair dyes, it didnt drip of flick off anywhere so I had no mess to clean up 👍 I'm literally so impressed I cant stress it enough. Well after I got through all my hair I still had a quarter of the hair dye left, now this shocked me as it's never happend before I always need 2 maby 3 boxes to dye the length of my hair but to have this product do it all and have leftovers is amazing!! I had so much foam on my head it was unbelievable, but it just gets better...there was no putrid ammonia smell choking me out and making my eyes stream infact the hair dye smelt lovely, not only that but there was no burning (warm) sensation on my scalp like with all other branded hair dyes this product was just smooth and soft to put on. Here come the washing part....if you have long hair and have dyed it before you know lumps of hair come out quite painfully after the hair dye has dried and knotted up but washing this John freida out was like being in one of those tropical adverts, I wanted to shout out ( Because I'm worth it) 🤣 My hair felt like silk layers and layers of silk honestly that conditioner was made by Angel's. Now the end result is where I say I'm NEVER buying any other branded hair product other then John Freida I want to meet this man and shake his hand, not only do I now have a unused box ready for next time this brand may be a little dearer but its saving me money as I only need to buy one at a time now not the ridiculous 2 or 3 boxs. It's covered all my yeti white hair with no signs of grey or any of those dressed weird patches you tend to miss, my hair is completely dyed from root to tip! Best hair dye I have ever used in my entire life. 100% reccomend

... which left my hair light chestnut colour which i loved i added blonde highlights but because there were so ...
Hi I am a medium brown naturally and through the years had stuck to dark browns but 2 years ago wanted to go lighter so i used colour B4 to take the dark brown out which left my hair light chestnut colour which i loved i added blonde highlights but because there were so many different shades in my hair i just could not keep up with the maintance and every time i needed re dying the roots i just could not match up the top colour with the rest of my hair that the Colour B4 had left as no box colour matched my hair, so now reluctantly i decided to dye my hair one single colour , so i used Colour Before again and then used John Frieda Light Almond Brown, well at first it came out too dark and nothing like the colour on the box i was very disappointed i used one box for this application some parts there was good coverage but the root area was slightly gingerish (that was the blonde highlights underneath showing through) so for 7 days i washed my hair with Head and shoulders anti dandruff shampoo as this lightens the hair by the end of the week it looked more like the colour on the box that i wanted but because my hair was slightly uneven i decided to dye it again as maybe i should have used 2 boxes, again it came out too dark so i washed again the darkness out with head and shoulders for 7 days and now it is roughly the colour i wanted and it is very similar to the box colour. Some ladies have made comments about their greys , well i don't get many just here and there a few behind the ears and roots and i have to say that 2 weeks after i had originally dyed my whole head i did have to re-root which is just too early i don't think that the foam is as effective as the bottled solutions i have checked other brands to try and match this colour Almond Brown but nobody else like Loreal , nice and easy has this colour so for now i am stuck with it and stuck with re-rooting every 2 weeks . The colours that John Frieda has, the Browns are lovely and after you have dyed your hair your hair does feel soft and silky the conditioner is fab disappointed that the colour doesn't last as long as it should . I hope this has been useful kind regards Carole NEW UPDATE 14th March 2017 - well i persevered as i am so fussy, now after re dying AGAIN Lightest cool Almond Brown it has finally reached the box colour perfectly and i am happy with it, i think that because i had used Colour B4 on my hair, that had left my hair very porous ie any colour would have turned out too dark which it did, by re dying it a few times with the same colour the build up has finally reached the colour on the box but there is still a root problem that needs fixing too frequently, well what can i say us women go through hell dont we.
