ROUNDUP CLEAN UP
5 litres of fast acting (24 hours) weedkiller, in a robust plastic green and black labelled squat rectangular container, with integrated flexible spray gun. The handle on top is locked/unlocked by a short twist; unlocked is free to be pulled up drawing air into the internal pressure chamber. Plunging the handle down then, then up repeatedly draws air into the inner chamber, building up pressure for the spray to work. The spray consists of a flexible white plastic tube, a black plastic ergonomic shaped tubular body with an integrated white plastic flat operating lever, all ending with the end nozzle. The actual spray emits a single fine stream of weedkiller and is not adjustable. Whilst one may need to concentrate more on directing this stream of liquid, it is more effective than a mist spray, being more concentrated and thus better directed at the roots of the weed(s) selected; more economical in use too. For storage, the spray nozzle and trigger lever is designed to be locked when the nozzle's tube is recessed towards the aft of the ergonomic handle. There is a yellow coloured lug that protrudes from one of two holes in the side of the handle, depressed allows the inner nozzle tube be withdrawn forward, again to be locked into a working/open position, when the lug pops out through the forward hole of the handle's side. See the photographs. Difficult to describe but simplicity of effective design when seen and used. When empty, may be topped up using the appropriate refill via unscrewing the top. In use, I found this weedkiller to be effective, causing established weeds to go brown and die within the 24 hours window given. If used in dry weather, apply this to the base of the weeds, followed by a light sprinkling of water, sufficient for the weed(s) to draw in the water and weedkiller, thus becoming effective and reducing evaporation. Do not apply this in heavy rain, which shall only serves to wash away the solution. The green plastic container may be recycled (not the black plastic parts) and the weedkiller breaks down to allow replanting afterwards. Information and instructions are printed on the front and rear labels.

A great help in getting rid of bamboo
I inherited a large stand of bamboo which was adjacent to a big area of wooden decking. Looks lovely, but it had spread its runners under the decking and was constantly putting up sprouts through the decking gaps. Last year I got someone to chainsaw down the bamboo and he put some strong weedkiller over the stumps. This year the runners started to sprout, in a different, more leafy way, through the decking gaps. So I took up a few of the planks to see what was going on and the runners are about an inch in thickness. I've chopped and removed as many as could reach and Roundup was my last resort before taking up most of the decking. It has worked. It has worked very well. I sprayed all the sprouts and exposed chopped ends of the runners on a not windy day, left it for a week and did the same again. As the picture shows it now looks and feels like dead grass, this happened after a week or two after the second spraying - this is just a small portion of the decking. Bamboo is very hard to get rid of, but this stuff is a great help.

Weedkiller works container doesn’t.
I don’t like using strong chemicals around the garden and until the last year or so, I’ve managed to hand weed as required. With advancing years and less mobility, I found it very difficult this year and weeds have become quite out of hand in a few areas. I decided to try this to get the garden looking more like it used to. I found fitting the tube bits together quite tricky. They’re hard to click into place if grip is an issue…but I managed. My main issue is that the container doesn’t seem airtight. I have a hand pump spray which takes about 20 pumps to pump up, then you pull the trigger gun and a spray or jet of the contents comes out. I can hear a hissing noise from this around the top. It’s part of the bit where the tube goes into the container. If I pump it, there’s no stopping point and the the spray is a weak trickle. Cant get a fan shape for wider area. I’ve therefore destroyed the container and used the contents in my own spray. Annoying as I guess some of the cost is for the gadgetry, which is poor. The weedkiller works. Not instantly as suggested , but after two applications and about 10 days, treated areas have gone yellow and died off. It’s killed ivy, thistles, some bramble, dandelions , twitch and more. So a good buy for the contents but not the pump and go.

The product it it’s self is good dose the job. Easy to set up and use and at a decent price for the size of the bottle. The only issue is it leaked out of the bottle in transit.
