Was using one of these within an hour after receiving.....needed to make 8, 1" inch holes in treated 4 x 4's.....not an issue, worked excellent, a paddle bit would've been destroyed, just let the bit feed itself thru the wood. Good buy for me, thank you

Ces mèches ne percent pas le bois, juste sur 1 à 2 mm de profondeur !!! Lot inutilisable.

These augers are brilliant. Perfect for drilling holes in studs and joists for routing wiring and plumbing. The great advantage is that they are short so the drill and the auger can fit between studs or joists, then you can add an extension to reach the next stud, I use the (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B089KWBFMY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) Freud 1/4 inch 12 and 6 inch extensions. These auger bits are fast. True as one reviewer pointed out, if you hit a nail, it will blunt the cutting tip, but the bits only cost $5 apiece. These Speedbors are much faster, much easier to use and less user effort than spade bits. Highly recommended, I just ordered my second set after boring hundreds of holes for Romex (NMD). A tip, you can bore the initial hole with a smaller bit, and then switch to a larger bit for a bigger hole.
