Really pleased to find this clasp
Really pleased to find this bin clasp as mine had broken. Took a few minutes to fit but now works well.

Lasted a day
Both of these lasted one day before not working. Bin lind popped open again! It’s like the fasten isn’t tight enough. Very annoying.

Seems to do the trick, if you know how to fit it.
For the model "50 Ltr Touch Bin S" (what Brabantia call Type 3) you need to go in from behind (ooer missus). I didn't realise this initially.I needed to pack the bottom out with a few layers of electrical tape to get it to seat properly as it did not engage the striker properly otherwise, and the lid remained shut. Creating a shim like this meant the catch was just that little bit closer to the striker, and then it worked fine.Overall, cheap and cheerful. Does the job.

Why replace when you can repair?
My Brabantia bin is over ten years old, but is in good condition. One day the lid 'catch' broke.....disaster. I searched on Amazon for a new bin...the new price was astonishing. Then up popped some replacement bits. I bought a pack of 2 catches for less than a fiver! My only difficulty was removing the old catch. Eventually I yanked it out using a pair of snub nosed jewellery pliers. Easy. Pushing the new catch in was child's play. Job done well. Bin is now back in action!

Brabantia replacement
They are not original but they are a quick life saver and cheap for the money mine has been great for the last few months hence the 5 star as Brabantia are double in price and 2 weeks delivery so for next day was very pleased ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not fit for purpose
I bought 2 of these for a small kitchen caddy. The original lasted at least a year. One star is awarded as the items fitted the caddy which is the only good news. The bad news is that they only lasted about 3 weeks each before failing. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE.

Great catches for Brabantia Bin
It is so good to have the Brabantia bin closing again. The new catch is working so well. A+. Will definitely purchase again in the future.
