I got tired of using the cigarette lighter adapter for USB things. In my truck, it was right in front of the Shifter and it was often hit while shifting into 5th. This solved the issue with a smaller profile and 2 USB outlets which were super nice. I had a cut out for a second power spot already so I did not need to cut a hole to fit the new plug. All in all, it only took about 15 minutes to take apart the dash and add this in. I really like the readout of how much power it is receiving I know it is probably not perfect but I do like that I can confirm there is power and how much there is. There are slide on connectors in the bag but no wires. If I had a suggestion to give it would be to include some wires and taps to attach to other wirings in the car, but if you are replacing something I guess you wouldn't need it.

I love this item! I used it to replace the antiquated “power plug” (cigarette lighter socket) in my 2010 Mini Cooper S Clubman. It fit perfectly and now I have two extra USB ports instead of an ugly plug. The volt meter display is actually useful and shows me when something is drawing a lot of energy from my battery.To install this did require a little bit of tooling. I pulled out the stock power plug and found it’s wire connection plugs. This new connector didn’t fit precisely. But it was close enough that a pair of pliers was all I needed to adjust the male connector to fit.It’s not just for boats! Looks great!

I was tired of have to carry the plug with on my boat in order to charge my phone or device. So, I cut a hole, ran some wire, and installed these. I like the look and functionality of these charging sockets, and the light it gives off is nice if I'm on the water at night and need to find it. However, since power is king on the water, the fact these draw (although very little I'm sure) power all the time because of the light up feature, I had to install a toggle on/off switch so I could not lose that little bit of power. I like the fact these are waterproof, have a cover that seals it up, and they look great.

I have been looking for a dual 2 amp USB charger for a while. Comes with everything you need but the wire. Anyone who can drill a hole and do basic 12 volt wiring can install this in a few minutes. Can be mounted using attached panel or just in a hole. Dust cover is removable without damage. Bought two and will be using one with the dust cover and the other without. Front seat installation will have cables plugged into both sockets all the time. No need for the cover. Back seat installation will have the cover in place.

I was a bit bummed to learn my pickup leaves power on to the wire I used at all times (even key off and everything). But the actual device here is just as advertised, and so far it hasn't caused any noticeable battery drain (though I haven't left it more than a day or two). Still, I may look into how to adjust the wiring so I don't burn power when the truck's off.

Used this on my Ninja 400, fit perfectly in the accessory punchout on my dash, and was super easy to connect with some bullet connectors attached. Flawless up to this day, haven't had any issues with it and it's been nearly a year.Update: It randomly died for no obvious reason. The voltmeter still reads, but both ports are dead. Have to lower the rating simply because this was an unexpected hassle that should not have happened given I hardly use the bike, let alone the ports.

The media could not be loaded.  Purchased this to replace a older unit from another manufacter. This charger has a very sturdy feel to it and the rubber cover snaps in great sealing out dust and debris. My main selling point on this was the low key backlight that helps with night time charging.As far as charging it worked great with my Bluetooth jam box and iPhone 7+

I was very disappointing in this USB charger, the light is supposed to be bright, in the daylight I cup my hands around it and still can barely see a blue glow but can't see any numbers for the voltage. I installed it in my boat and was waiting for a new gauge plate to install this so I just installed it and it has been to long to return, it does charge as stated but not much for a light, I will go out after dark and see if it shows up then, I would not purchase this maybe I just got the only bad one in the bunch.
