Must Have for households with Children
I have a toddler in the house so I decided to purchase safe Box Cutters to eliminate the chance of an injury. This set is a great value and I like that the Cutters have a magnet built in to store on the fridge and also lock and have 2 blade adjustments. It is crazy how well these work to cut paper, tape, and even cardboard. They slice right through but somehow the blades are not sharp to touch. I have accidentally run my finger across the blade firmly with no cut or damage to my skin yet the blades effortlessly cut through packages.

They work, and they're designed for safety.
These are inexpensive, safe box cutters. They have a lock if needed to keep the blade from extending accidentally. The blades are ceramic are thick and sharp enough to cut box tape, but not really sharp enough to cut skin unless you mean to.I really like them. They're effective for their intended purpose, but safer to use that cutters with metal blades.

Nice small blades
Great little blades for opening small boxes and things that need to be cut. I looked everywhere for something like this and found them here.

Updated - These are Safety Cutters which work on taut tape or paper on a hard surface
My original order wasn't that great (see review below which I am leaving for posterity sake). Seller reached out and contacted me and sent a replacement set where I did get all 3. These are SAFETY CUTTERS, if that is what you are looking for, then these will fit. They won't cut skin without trying harder than I went, pretty much can't accidentally slice the way real sharp ceramic dangerous blades can. Even though they are skin-resistant cutting, they DO cut taut tape on a box or paper laid on a hard surface. These also have the side lock so I would not be concerned about them around a child when locked except as a choking hazard. The seller is extremely helpful and my review below was a case of ME Not Reading The Description! These are great for light cutting work where what needs to be cut is clearly defined and in tension and preferably against a flat, hard surface. Then they will cut. Trying to cut through cardboard puts you in a situation where you might be pushing too hard and actually be able to nick your finger with it but I don't think most cushy flesh on fingers would slice easily, while a knuckle would, so practice blade safety and always cut away from yourself and never have a body part in the path of a blade in the even it slips.Seller is amazing customer support, so ask them if your use is best if not sure!————————————————————————————Very Dull. I thought this would be like the Ceramic UT1 blades which can chop through 2 layer cardboard as easy as paper. These can't even cut free hanging paper, they catch and rip and can only cut something when it is taut. Access to bevel is blocked by the holder so I am unable to hone them on my diamond wheel which I sharpen the utility blade ceramic blades to scary sharp with. Those are amazing. These Are NOT SHARP.Also, I only received 2 in my package, red and blue.

I have used a few Slice cutters for years, and so happy I took the chance on these budget versions.
Compared to the slice versions, these are cheap. But this is exactly why I bought them. The build quality is solid. Not high-end apple designer worked on for 3 years straight, but a solid fit in your hand and get the job done design.A no-nonsense box opener is what I wanted, and I got three of them for less than I would have paid for one slice. If you haven't used a ceramic knife you don't know what you are missing. Easily open all those Amazon packages without the sticky tape residue, cuts right through the plastic blister packs, and I use mine to carve up the cardboard to fit my recycling bin.As a side note, the blade is not super sharp to the touch, but it rips through everything I have tossed at it. This is not as safe for fingers as the rounded Slice product, but more like the sharp versions of slice. Why aren't all knives ceramic? Ceramic is very hard, and thus hard to sharpen. This makes it last a long time, but unless you have a diamond sharpener once it is done it is done. Ceramic is also very brittle, so you can't use it as a chopper, or bend it like a steel blade. When I say it lasts a long time, the ceramic blades I have cut everything like warm butter after many years of use.

Why are titles required anyway you already know what's up
First time using a ceramic knife and I was not disappointed. This little guy cuts through shrink wrap like butter outside at 2pm. It's magnetic, which means I can stick one in my filing cabinet, one to my keys, and one in a place I'm not sharing because I'm like that (find your own secret place Rico). If you're not sure what knife you need, it's this one. If you do know what knife you need, why are you still reading reviews, just pull the trigger already.

OOPS !!! Ya forgot something
I like these knives--easu y to use, great sharpness to open boxes and also break them down. Why the 3 stars? One of the knives did not have a built in magnet which was very attractive to me to since I have many metal storage shelves where I hang them on. If I only set them down, they tend to "lose themselves" but on a metal vertical support leg, I can spot them more easily.Other wise great for my needs and from past history I know they will last long.
