Shampoo - Grapefruit & Chamomile

Wow!! I’ve been wanting to try a shampoo bar for awhile, usually use some drugstore shampoo like Herbal Essence. My hair is fine, thin & not special. It’s very blah and I can hardly be bothered. This bar was a great price so I gave it a go and wow, I am completely impressed with my first use! I followed the directions to wet head & bar then rub bar on head from roots to tips. The amount of lather I got when I started scrubbing my head after coating the hair with the bar was insane! I’ve gone through heavy phases of “natural shampoo” before so I wasn’t expecting lather at all honestly. It was glorious! Then it all rinsed super easy & clean! I did follow up with their conditioner bar (going all in you know) and it seems like it worked too. I woke up expecting some greasy spots like normal on my scalp this morning but instead my hair feels crazy fresh and best of all is my scalp feeling so clean, no weird residues building up. So first impressions are this is a winner, great scent while showering (I’ve never been able to notice on dry hair) and very clean hair. Will update if continued use doesn’t stay on track!

I am making the switch to shampoo bars from bottles, so I am trying to find The One. I am not totally sure if this is it, but it is a fantastic start if you are thinking of trying to switch. It smells amazing with a soft, lingering scent of honey that isn't overpowering, but leaves my entire bathroom pleasantly scented. It rinses clean and take so little to work up a good foam - I have waist-length hair and am still using this bar, going on 4 months. The conditioner bar also smells amazing, but it isn't as easy to use as the shampoo. It took me a bit to figure it out, but I discovered if I used it under the water, which seemed counterintuitive, it works better. That enables it to get fully saturated, which is necessary for it to actually work into your hair. All in all, the shampoo bar is better quality than the conditioner bar, but the conditioner bar IS good, when you get the hang of it. They rinse clean, keep my hair soft and shiney and smell fantastic.

Okay, this was my first time trying bar shampoo/conditioner and I'm sold. I made the change to put less plastic in the world and I was kind of expecting to be a little disappointed with bars but I shouldn't have thought that at all. This stuff works really well! It lathers up nicely, especially if you have it in a mesh bag. My hair feels good afterwards to the point where my friend always asks me what I've done to my hair and is always shocked when I say all I've done is switch to bar shampoo/conditioner. I don't really notice any scent after my hair is dry but I don't mind. As long as it doesn't smell bad, I'm cool, which it doesn't. It also lasts a lot longer than I expected. I still have plenty left and it has been months since I got this. I'm never going back to plastic bottles again. Not only does this work but it's so much more affordable.

I've been struggling fo years to find a more natural shampoo for my straight, fine, oily, and apparently non - porous hair (doesn't absorb oils). I've tried the ones that use glucosides instead of sulfates but they just didn't clean my hair well. This is the first shampoo bar I've tried and overall I'm impressed, especially for the price. It contains mostly natural and unprocessed ingredients, and does the job of actually CLEANING my hair and not leaving it a flat, oily mess. It can be a bit drying however so I'm on the lookout for a natural conditioner to pair with it to balance things out. Unfortunately the ANIHANA conditioner that pairs with this bar contains parfum/artificial fragrance (yikes!) and the the other one has honey which I don't use. I keep my hair shoulder length and this bar has lasted me over a year! You really only need 3 or so swipes to clean your hair, and it spread's well too unlike a lot of other natural liquid shampoos I've tried. That's probably due to the sulfates, but again my hair seems to need them so I'm willing to compromise. One review complained about the scent smelling strong and artificial. Perhaps their bar was contaminated or fake because that has not been my experience. My bar has a very light, lavender smell that smells natural. The scent does not linger on your hair, which some people may or may not like. Overall this is a very good, 'natural' product that does what it's supposed to do. If you are 100% avoiding sulfates though this is not the product for you. But if you've tried everything else and are ok with them I recommend this product. You just might want to pair it with a conditioner.

I was looking to get away from throwing away plastic bottles and heard about this bar through reviews on Amazon. It is every bit as good as the bottled shampoo. It cleans my very fine hair very well. My hair is soft and clean with no residue. It lasts forever. All you need to do is wet your hair and rub the bar in it a few times. You will be amazed how much suds it makes. You do not need much. It is very concentrated! I keep mine in a small jar in the fridge. It lasts longer for me that way. It stays hard in the bar shape and is easier to handle. If it gets warm during hot weather it gets soft and a lot gets wasted. Keeping it cold is key to getting better use out of it. That might be a deal breaker for some but I wash my hair in the kitchen sink anyway right next to the fridge:).

Great smell. Worked good convenient for carryon only travels. Need better way to carry. Did not hold up...if had better way to transport may have lasted and held up better. Was staying in different places every night or two.

Wonderful moisturizing conditioner. Smells so good. Really works. Great for my more mature hair.

I love this shampoo bar. It lathers easily, lasts a long time, and it great for travel. It cleans my hair without drying my scalp out. I don’t generally like moisturizing shampoos because my hair tends to be a little oily while my scalp is sensitive and dry. What a conundrum. I will often follow this shampoo with a cleansing conditioner from Trader Joe’s or the matching conditioner bar.
