Purchased to replace OEM on my truck that the button for Volume/Up was pressed it would also press the button for Next/Skip song so tried not to turn volume up to not skip a song that wanted to hear, ones replaced it, worked perfectly and was now able to use volume up button without fear of skipping song

Perfect fit easy to replace
I watched several YouTube videos before deciding to take this project on. I kept seeing comments about easily swapping it without removing the airbag so I tried it and it did pry out and unclip without dismantling the airbag. Then it clipped back in as easily. Took less than 10 minutes for the whole project. The hardest part now is remembering to use the buttons now after not having them for so long.

Very easy to install and fixed my problem.
I had a problem with my original switch that caused the volume to increase even though I was pressing the down button. I watched a quick video on you tube and installed this with no problem. It now works correctly.

Love it. Great price and works as good as original..
I have to say its a very nice perfect replacement. Works as it should. I had no idea how much I missed using the control buttons till I finally replaced it. Works smooth and as intended. And the replacement took me like 3min if you pic the right You tube to watch in advance...

Fixed my skipping/volume issues
I suffered for 2-3 years with songs advancing when I attempted to increase volume, or various other screwy behavior when attempting to either increase volume, or move to a different song track. I'd read a lot of things online about how it's potentially the clock spring etc., but figured I would start here as these are a known failure point. I followed the FordTechmakuloco YouTube video on the topic, and had this replaced in about 15 minutes. The hardest part is aligning your poking tool with the tabs to pop the airbag out. (Hint: Press harder than you think you need to, and start with the bottom hole first). After replacement my issue is resolved; this switch cluster functions as it did when I bought the truck new. I think the guys who ultimately end up replacing the clock springs were seeing other issues with their truck (i.e. horn maybe not working, or cruise control being intermittent etc.). If you're just seeing odd skipping behavior, try this first...I bet it works, and I should have done it several years sooner.
