The Echo Dot Kids is a fantastic smart speaker and perfect for children. The sound quality is clear and more than good enough for music, audiobooks and bedtime stories. Alexa is easy for kids to use, and the parental controls give great peace of mind. The included one-year Amazon Kids+ subscription is a big bonus, offering lots of age-appropriate content, games and educational skills. Setup was quick and straightforward, and it connects easily via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Overall, this is a great value device that’s fun, safe and educational. Highly recommended for any child’s bedroom or playroom.

This is the usual very high quality product that to can expect from Amazon. The design of the owl on the Alexa is perfect and makes it look amazing. Connection and set up through the Alexa app is super easy and with the Alexa parental controls it makes it very safe to use. Volume and sound quality with the spatial sound is amazing. Music is very clear and well balanced, audio storytelling is fantastic together with the usual Alexa fun. The voice response and recognition is superb the touch responsiveness. While it can seem a bit pricey it is great value when you’re given a free subscription to Amazon kids. We already had this so we’re given a refund through Amazon. This was already taken care of from Amazon. Overall the functionality and care that Amazon has is why we have used Amazon for many years.

I bought the newest generation Echo Dot Kids for my daughter after she became obsessed with the Echo we have in the living room, and honestly it’s been a great decision. It’s very child-friendly straight out of the box. The setup was easy, the controls are simple for kids to understand, and the parental features give good peace of mind without feeling restrictive. She uses it daily for music, stories, questions, and alarms, and it’s nice that she has her own device rather than constantly taking over the main one. One feature I really like is the light. It makes the device feel more fun and engaging for children, and it’s also useful as a visual cue rather than just relying on sound. The overall design feels durable and clearly made with kids in mind. The only thing I’m genuinely annoyed about is not buying it sooner. It’s been so useful that I can’t believe we waited as long as we did. I’d definitely recommend this for children under 13 or 14 who want their own smart speaker in their bedroom or play space. It’s practical, fun, and actually gets used every day.

We bought the Echo Dot Kids for our 10-year-old daughter, and I’ll be honest – it wasn’t even on her list for Santa. That made it even more special when she opened it, because her reaction was pure excitement. She absolutely loved it from the moment it came out of the box. Since Christmas, she’s barely been out of her bedroom – in the best way. She’s been dancing around, singing along to her favourite K-pop songs, asking Alexa questions, and generally having the time of her life. She actually told us it was her favourite gift this year, which says a lot considering it was a complete surprise. From a parent’s point of view, the parental controls are a huge plus. I really love how much control you have over what they can listen to and access. It gives real peace of mind knowing she isn’t being exposed to anything explicit or inappropriate, and that the content is genuinely child-friendly. The included year of Amazon Kids+ is brilliant value too. There’s loads for her to explore safely, and she’s already making the most of it. We even joked that she could ask Santa to extend the subscription next year! Overall, this has been a fantastic purchase – fun for kids, reassuring for parents, and great value for money. I’d highly recommend it for anyone with children around this age.

My daughter loves this, they come with a few different designs for kids but she wanted the dragon. Easy to use and just as easy to set up via the app, she uses this to play her music and read story's, even uses it to call family members from the pre-approved contact list via the app. Sound quality is super and clear when listening to music or making calls, connect perfectly to her azon kids tablet too I have set some routines on it such as alarms and reminders for her and works with no issues. Can't go wrong with an Alexa in my opinion
